I am starting this thread to know where the TPS application is going and how long is it taking to get approved. If you go to USCIS processing time for nebraska, first of all , TPS is not even in the list (i-821) and second of all the dates are so out of date and updated every 1.5 months or 2. So just creating this thread to get a live tracking based upon others application and approval date. Hope others will help.

My case:
Application received: Dec 11 2015 (TPS only)
Bio metrics date: Jan 12 2016
TPS: Not yet approved

Same on mine..even before finger printing...

What documents did you send? Did you request to expedite your application? Just curious.

There is no expedite request for these applications.

Anybody else who recently got approved?

Finger Print was accepted on On July 24, 2015 but the TPS is still pending with EAD approval. Are there any other options to contact them or just have to wait further more? It's been almost 6 months wait period. Anyone still in the same long wait duration.

When you ask for the update what do they say? For EAD they have to provide it within 90 days and you can go different routes to expedite case . Can't we do that for TPS?

@furke: I also have applied with 2d bar code hence been waiting for almost 5 months.

EAD: October 26th
Bio metrics date: October 13
TPS: sep 17 finger print fee received......(case is still pending)

Its been more than 4 months my tps is still pending.

got EAD in October though. Does anyone know if I can get SSN and start working using that EAD card? Or do I have to wait until TPS is approved?

@bakwaas_kura, yes you can apply for SSN using your EAD and start working once you get your SSN. No need of TPS approval.

I callwd yesterday n they sais they were processing aug 20th application. Any one got lucky so far

will TPS applicant being a F-2 make any difference? Any F-2s here who got SSN using TPS EAD?

@ terobau , you said they are processing august 20th . I haven't received my approval . My processing date is july 20th. :(

I am not sure what is happening. They said they are back logged but anything over 6 months you should be able to put an inquiry and raise a ticket. That was what i told.

@bakwas_kura, yes you will get SSN based on your EAD card. And once you start working you will no longer be in F2. As long as your spouse maintains F1, it wont be an issue for you to go back to F2 if TPS is not extended.

My fingerprint was completed on July 24 and I have been waiting till then for TPS Approval. I did ask lawyer to inquire about TPS case but was informed that there is nothing much that can be done since they have already given EAD. If you want to remain inside the states then you don't have to worry when you receive the approval. But it becomes tricky when you need to travel.
