I only like to be sure that working offcampus in Omaha is safe thes days ? i think everyone has heard about INS moments in different part of US and student caught and on the process of deportment.I wanted to be sure if its the similar case in omaha or we can work freely without any tension offcampus ? .

Omaha is a great place to live. I have been here for more than ten years and have no complain. Bhadur007 why did you leave Omaha? I know lot of people who did not graduate and could not show their faces to their friends have left Omaha. Why would you complain about people who has done no harm to you and bust their butt to be where they at today.

Otherwise I have not heard single person who got admission did not graduate from Bellevue since 1987( thats when DUKULANTHE came to Bellevue) unless you turn out to be PSYCHO like one of the guy named "DALI", and other 2 brothers as well ( could not recall their names either)

Correct me if iam wrong. Used to be omaha was a great place for student but like I said in everythread after 1997 INS RAID this went down the hill. Students used to work at First data resources (FDR) and oriental company(OTC) ( which was major for employer for students) but after one nepali guy got caught for scratching off Social security card they (OTC) quit hiring students. This thing was passed around in town and FDR quit hiring as well. Now no one goes to OTC coz its a chinise company but greencard holders will go and mail short at FDR. There are 2 indian restaurant where nepali student works. Other than that its hard to get a job. I would say its every where specially after 9-11 anyway.
There are 30-35 nepalese student who are sponsored by the IT company (telemarketing basically) and are settled down.

Bruce Lee if you can get admission at UDC. I know cost of living is little higher at Northrn va area but you will have better oppertunity getting off campus jobs and better oppertunity for getting internship. But its your call though.

i am wishing to transfer for this coming spring semester yaar. so far after so many headache decision it came down to 2 institute. UDC and UNO
and i applied for both of them and is in process.

if you can get help for me regarding apartment in UDC i will throw you a party.

Apart from those 2 indian resturants where does students work these days .
There are lots of neplese studying in UNO or Bellevue even now . And most of them dont have scholorships as well. Is life tough in Omaha. Can u suggest me If i should move to UNO . I am in lamar university right now.
