HAHAHAHA.. 1) if you still have not overcome the nostalgia of singing songs of praise for the institution when you're in high school, i have nothing to say my friend. 2) if you are still nostalgic about standing on the footpath of baneshwore, holding a bunch of flowers and clapping for the 'sawari' of your majesty the king, i have nothing to say. 3) if you still want to cry a river for something/somebody which/who was futile and worthless for the majority of people who have hard time seeing their ends meet in nepal, i have nothing to say. 4) if you want to see yourself in the same bandwagon where uttering 'mausuf' 'hajur' 'baksyos' is daily ritual to satiate one's gargantuan appetite, where worshiping someone as demi-god is more important than being self-reliant and hard-working to see the success, i have nothing to say. The rest of the people and Nepal have moved ON!!!!####### i don't want to judge maoists yet. they are yet to be tested. for now, i am happy to give them the benefit of my doubts for all their past deeds WHEN they are there in the government to draft new constitution for nepal through a democratic process (through popular choice). Cry as much as you want, argue as much as you can, it's not gonna change the status quo!

No need to feel sorry for the KG. Why?? He and his ousted family have their assets and business to happily live for generations. We need to now feel sorry for all the people of Nepal as they are left in the hands of an institution that has killed 14000+ people to (democratically??) reach the position of power that they currently hold (enjoy).

Lootekukur bro,
I have no complaints about the democratic process by which the Maoists were elected. I am just anti-Maoists , because of their bloody past. Also, my another point is that KG has only lost power which I am sure he was not desperately after. He has lost nothing! If there were (was) something to lose, than its the people that is in the receiving end and not the King.
No grudges loote bro. I hope you got my point.

sahayog, bro, i got your point. you're skeptical about maoists and that's fine. we have to keep a close eyes on them anyways. not only them, anyone who's elected has to be kept under vigilant custody of observation for everything they talk and do. that's what democracy is about IMO. i am just against the fear mongering people who are shitting in their pants in denial of the reality.

eagle5, what argument are you talking about? you wrote: This is 21st century guyes,
international intelligence is far better than your mind. You think our
rolyal palce is out of their reach? No way…if international
intelligence that time figured out he was the
killer, under no circumstances they would have accepted him as a
king…that too when he is considered anti inidan..would not India have blown this issues out of proportion?
so basically you admit that you live in the 21st century, correct? But alas! your mentality--to serve and worship your so called demi-god notwithstanding his failure to address the crux of the problem in nepal--is still of the medieval age dude! i urge you to do some time mapping, if you can.
along the same line, the international intelligence, as you too seem to know it, is smart enough to not let any autocracies sustain in nepal anymore and i have given reasons in response to deshbhaktanepali's query about why i think nepal cannot be juxtaposed on the same line as NK or China or Cambodia or Zimbabwe.
i am not trying to justify the killings done by maoists here but there is no point whining over past. let's look ahead, shall we? even if you don't wish/want to, people of nepal have already given their verdict in favor of the same maoists you abhor! so drink some tonic, digest the fact and move on. let's march forward!
and stop crying for your majesty. people of nepal have given ample time (240 years) to prove us their worth. they all failed to deliver. what good did it bring to us and nepal? NADA. heck, even gyanendra was given a second chance against all odds.
did he try to address our problem? NO. Was he able to bring maoists to the mainstream? NO. Did he try to heal the pain and sufferings of hundreds of thousands of nepalese people? NO.
What did he do? --raised his salary for the comfort of his and his likes. --brought in the same old people with panche mentalilty as his close aides. --rode in jaguar and harley while people were dying miserable deaths.
come to terms with the reality, my friend. it's time you woke up from your bed! gone are the days when those with connections to your majesty used to rule and do better than commoners. we, the people, have woken up and rose to the occasion by ousting your majesty to set up our own rule (through the people we elect and not through someone who's born between the high walls of the palace).
#######
and HoustonTX, stop mumbling from behind your mama's saree. hahaha.. come out in front with some arguments instead of labeling me names.

It seems some of you are over excited to see troubled Gyane's picture. Hold on guys. Everyone has their lowest time. I think Gyane is still not that weak because the maoist and other parties are still undecided how to act on. I found this chapter from my sansar dot com tells the same.

anyone who still thinks monarchy can sustain in nepal in one form or the other should do some reality checking. nepali people have spoken for republic by giving majority to maoists in the direct election. it was already decided prior to CA that nepal would be declared republic in the first CA sitting. now reverting to the same old stage from that decision is going to be against the will of the majority of people and asking for trouble if you ask me. i am sure parties and their leaders are aware of it and its consequence, if they are having dilemma over how to go about addressing the republic agenda.

^ I think there are people who are trying to retain some form of Monarchy. I see some of this happening. Nepal will still retain some sort of recognization of monarchy and Gyanendra will still Keep Narayanhiti palace.

Seven injured in YCL attack
Seven people have been injured in separate attacks by Maoist-affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) cadres in Kaski and Chitwan districts on Wednesday.
Five persons belonging to Nepali Congress (NC) and Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) parties were beaten black and blue with bamboo sticks by YCL cadres in Pamebazaar in Kaski district.
The injured include Bam Bahadur Adhikary, Krishna Bahadur Adhikary, Min Bahadur Adhikary, Bharat Bahadur Adhikary and Narayan Bahadur Adhikary.
Likewise, in Madi of Chitwan district, two teachers of Someshwore High School were attacked by a group of people including YCL cadres. Teachers Ramnath Tiwari and Krishna Pathak were beaten in the school playground. They are being treated in Bharatpur hospital.
According to Pathak, a group of youths who were taking side of some rowdy students resorted to attacking them. nepalnews.com sd May 15 08

Gyane had his chance, but he blew it. When he staged his coup, people supported him, but he could not even give a single sign that he can solve Nepal's problems. Instead, he indulged in his self centred and visionless policies with help of his crooked, date expired advisors and ministers. The next generation also does not look good with Paras as heir. Nepal can no longer wait to see how Gyane's grandson will turn out in 40/50 yrs time and Nepal can not afford to keep a rich monarch. So its time to say Bye Bye.
