Hey allswell,
I'm also in process of applying GC thru Employment. Did your position required for Masters degree or Bachelors degree? Did you get it thru EB2 or EB3?
I have masters degree and four yours of bachelors degree. But when my employer advertised for my position, they mentioned minimum requirement as bachelors. However, the job requires the knowledge and skill of masters degree. It is job Zone 5 as categorized by department of labor. when I pointed out to my employer that it can lead to EB3 process, my employer say that as this job practically requires masters degree, they are going to find some ways to file it in EB2 process. But I cannot figure out how they r going to prove that. Does anybody here have any idea?

awayfromhome,
I am not sure about that... but as far as i know.. if you have masters and your employeer is filing GC in EB2.. it can be advertised as Masters and no expriences... You do not need experience... You can further contact your company lawyer.

While advertising for my PERM .. my application also had Minimum Bachelors Degree + 5 Years experience or Masters Degree. That's the standard way of advertising i guess..

You don't need to have any experience if your your employer advertised your job description which requires master degree. You even can have 0 years of experience. Also it doesn't matter how your h1b was applied (Bachelor quota or masters quota). Green card is for future employement and it has nothing to do with your past history (how and where you got your h1b or any other visa).

My only worry is if perm with masters + 0 yrs experience will pass thru. I am not sure but there might be plenty of us citizens with similar qualifications and that may push the perm application to go thru audit. Guys please share your experience.

AwayFromHome, I have seen lots of people who had got perm approved with Masters+0 Yrs of experience. When your employer filed job description advertisement, their first priority is the US Citizens. Because they couldn't find the US Citizens, they applied labor for you. So If you ask me, Masters+0 yrs of experience works well with no issue. Masters degree itself equivalent to 5 years of experience after bachelor degree.

sathi haru..sabaiko thread pade..ali ali idea paye..aba idea lai ali elaborate garne niskarsama ayeko chu. i m doing master's in computer science. complete huna 8 mahina jati lagca hola. beeteko ded barsa deki ma cpt ma full time as a contractor IT sector ma kaam gardai chu. mero Employer(consultancy) le yes pali(april 2012 MA) mero h1 file gardai ca. painca paidaina..don't know..but i am thinking for green card on eb2 category. i have 3 years bachelor + 2 years master's both in computer science. as according to the thread it seems like after having 2 years master's i don't need to include my us experience though i have been working since last 1 and half years. few quick questions. 1. master's ko graduation bhai haatma degree auna lagbhag ajhai 8-10 mahina baaki ca.let's say 8 months so k ma aile deki nai under eb2 green card file garna sakchu? I mean green card under eb2 can be filed after graduation only or before few months of graduation as it may take a time to process till then i can graduate. 2. i m working as a contractor..and i like it..client may change but i want to work for the same employer(consultancy) They are not desi. as a contractor rahera nai can i file green card on the basis of eb2 or i have to have a permanent job. Dhanyabad sabai sathiharuma. I indeed appreciate it.
