@ShankarHuShankar After reading that, I don't think F1 students will have any problems working on a EAD. Why would USCIS gives EAD for those who are not allowed to work? If USCIS wants you to work, then you should definitely work. TPS works as a blanket, as from my understanding. It is not an underwear, but it will hide your nudity. If you have an underwear and hiding in a blanket, and if someone removes your blanket, then you are not naked, because you are still wearing an underwear. If you are naked, and USCIS gives you blanket then it will hide your nudity for a certain period of time, but after USCIS removes that blanket then you will be left naked again. Don't remove your underwear if you don't want to be naked (Maintain your current status, even if you have TPS). @lutee_bahun 1. Many TPS applicants belong to F-1 status previously, and they should have "For Work With DHS Authorization only" marked in their social security card. Have any of you in the mentioned category has tried to change their social security card after TPS approval? >>> I don't think it does matter, because EAD is a document from USCIS that will let you work and EAD will justify this "For Work With DHS Authorization only". I don't think you have to change the social security card. But I would love to hear from people who really changed the SS card, and they got SS with out "For Work With DHS Authorization only". 2. Does USCIS case status check still provides USPS tracking number after EAD has been dispatched from the production facility? For those who recently got approved and received the card, did you see the tracking number? >>> It does not give you tracking number when it says "Card is mailed to me", but when it is delivered to you, USCIS will change the status of your case, and it will say "Card is delivered, and that time it will show the tracking number. It is kind a weird tho, I don't know why they don't give tracking number when they send the card. @sanusaati They send using USPS priority mail, but I don't think it has signature required. If you get others mails in your mailbox without problems, then they will drop your EAD in your mailbox with out verification.

My wife and I applied for TPS and EAD couple weeks ago. She has already received her NOA for both TPS and EAD. However, they have yet to deposit my check or send me NOA. Anyone has gone through this? I filled out and double checked everything before sending. Please advise.

For anyone who wants the tracking number and not showing in USCIS website ( like mine), you can check it with USPS dashboard as long as you have signed up for it and verified your information.

Hi All, From USCIS site Step 3. Is there an email I need to send during this TPS process? Please suggest. http://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/temporary-protected-status Step 3: USCIS will send you a receipt notice. Once you get the receipt notice, immediately send an email to the TPS IJ grant email box at the Service Center processing your application. When emailing the appropriate TPS IJ grant email box, please include the following information: 1.Your name 2.Your date of birth 3.The receipt number for your application 4.Your A-number 5.The date the IJ or BIA finally granted you TPS (Note: To be final, your IJ order granting TPS must not be subject to further appeal, or your BIA decision granting TPS must not be subject to further review.)

@sammysing. This doesnot apply to you and all nepali tps applicants on general. These are only for appeal cases.... This i dont see the case for any nepali applicants atleast for next 6 months. For you... Its pretty straight forward. Now wait . They will send you another letter with biometrics date. On that date take the two letters, the appointment letter and passport to fingerprinting. After that your part is done. AND THE WAITING GAME BEGINS. They will send you the EAD or TPS card to your mail or send a new letter asking additional info if you didnt fill the form correctly. You can check your status at myuscis website. Chillout.

I believe that only applies when your initial application was denied and you were granted TPS by an Immigration Judge or BIA. "These email addresses are only for individuals granted TPS by an IJ or the BIA who are requesting their first EADs, travel authorization, or re-registration. The email address is not for individual case status inquires."

That step only applies to people when your initial application gets denied and you are granted TPS by Immigration Judge or Board of Immigration Appeal. If your case has been pretty straightforward you don't have to worry about it. "These email addresses are only for individuals granted TPS by an IJ or the BIA who are requesting their first EADs, travel authorization, or re-registration. The email address is not for individual case status inquires."

Hello to all and my dear mimroramero! How are you mimro? As per you(MiMRO) I talked to international stu office for I-20 to be in safe side(you already know im in h1b and going to quit in a month. What will happen after tps expire? Shall i ask for i-20 for 2016 jan or how shall i talk to college? i checked case of honduras and nicargua(i think),where only 8,000 and 55,000 people died because of earthquane and in Nepal more than 12,000 have been died so i think chances of getting tps extension is higher. Mimro what if tps dont get extended? will i considered out of status and if i go Nepal for how many years they will not let me come back remember my status is h1b now and getting i-20 im applying tps or sending my documents on friday let me know please thank you guys your suggestion will be highly appreciated.
