I received my EAD, however, my TPS has not been approved yet. My concern is whether my college can terminated me from F1 status or not since I have EAD. The DSO wants to make sure before he take this action. when I look at my case status, it is just saying that the bio metrics is received.

I thought check would be withdrawn within a week, though it takes 2 weeks to arrive receipt. But, in my case check is not withdawn.

Until and unless your TPS approval letter is in hand, do not drop from any other status. Just getting EAD does not mean you will get TPS. And until your TPS gets approved, your EAD is not valid.

TPS approved and EAD card received for H4 Sep 17. I hope to apply for SSN and look for jobs

@nepal07 your DSO is very nice, my DSO already terminated my sevis because I didnot register for classes that semester, and it happened right after I applied for TPS. So for me, my career is USA is over after the TPS is over.

There is a mix views on either Nepal or USA, but whatever your write, people are getting approved for both.

@datamap, when is the date they terminated your status, and what's your current progress on TPS.

@mimroramero, july 21 is the date they terminated, I applied for TPS on july 6th and have TPS pending but EAD card received.

I think there is still hope for you. When they accept your document, then your status will be on exempt. The time your SEVIS got terminated you were on TPS exempt status, so you never went out of status. There could be chances that you can reinstate your SEVIS right now, or you can apply for another F1 (SEVIS) after TPS expires.

@datamap, it is not only TPS exempt. It is with all the status application applied to USCIS.

@bthaoa112, thapazi i think most of us did not sent pp photos because they do biometric. I have my EAD without pp ... so I think its doable

Out of status but now TPS approved, what can the out of status people do to get a legal status after TPS expires next year...Any suggestions
