Jokemaster, That's Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland. I knew it - it'd got to be from the tartan country, somewhere near Loch Ness :)) check this website: http://www.castles.org/castles/Europe/Western_Europe/United_Kingdom/Scotland/Eilean_Donal-Highlands/index.htm

Jokemaster, I know the Scottish Highlands reasonably well - all those years of trekking and hopping about. The highlands are one of the most scenic places in the world. I love the landscapes - so pristine. The lochs (lakes) are awesome. Loch Ness, Loch Lamond - simply breathtaking. You would have seen the film on the Loch Ness monster. I have also been to the Orkney Islands, off the northern most tip of the Scottish mainland. Some intersting naval history they've got there (second world war ship wrecks etc) plus some Neolithic spots and plenty of wild life - did some bird watching too! The standing stones there are reputed to have been some five thousand and three hundred years old, even older than the Stone Henge in Salisbury, England. V. interesting. One of the famous Scottish poets George Mackay Brown lived and died in the islands. I was there in the summer of 1998 and you won't believe it but out of sheer luck, I met an elderly couple there, native islanders, who'd been to Nepal. They'd actually LIVED in Nepal in the mid-eighties as British Army medical doctors at Dharan's British Camp. They were just astounded to have found me there, on my own. I spent a night in their house, talking over countless cuppas and enjoyed listening to them reminiscing about their time spent in Nepal until the wee hours of the morning. Amazing. Okay enough woffle. The Japan one is also a good one - can comment. Never been to the place. I know Hong Kong though, quite well. And a few other places in the Far East but not Japan or Korea. I gather you hail from there ho? Thanks again for sharing the pics. Cheers and have a good day.

Sandhurst Lahure Dear, You should be a poet, thanks to your splendid narration and poetic vision. I never had that, though, I love to read....... If you donot mind, I would like to share more things with you. Do continue with your poetic versus... Here is a tallest bridge, by the time being, in France. Its name is Milau.

Now, Jokemaster, That picture is just awesome... amazing feat of engineering, don't you think? wow. Thank you so-so very much. Me, being a poet? :) I wish, I was one! But hey, I'd love to write some poetry and hope that the elusive muse does head my way, one day. :) Thanks for your compliment though. I'm an ardent admirer of the poets and their artistic imagination which I lack. So, you are a cowboy from Japan eh... got a ranch and horses too eh! :0 Stay tuned. Carpe diem.
