Don't you think that some Nepalese like you might have got US visas because they deserved it.

This is one prime example how you guys are talking without knowing the fact. You should have asked me before you wrote that sentence if I ever got the US visa in my life. Rather you actually should have asked me if I have ever applied US visa. Instead you assumed that I got the US visa.. ha ha.. and unnecessarily wrote the above sentence for nothing.

It's quite funny that you guys could not digest the facts (unbiased) i am talking about and yet assumed that I got the US visa. I just shake my head.

This is the problem iwth the editors of Nepalese papers. read the last sentence of Moriarty's article:
This appears to have been the case in the application by Professor Subedi, long a cultural contact of our American Center, and we regret it.

My guess is a long phrase has been missed out, or even a whole sentence has been missed at the end of the article.

So "we regret it" regret to what? Unclear.

I didnot directly tell that you got visa, but I just wanted to say that there are so many who deserved the visa, hence they are in US. I was not definitive in expressing what I think (see I used the word "mignt" over there). Regarding whether you are in US or not, and even whether you applied for US visa or not, I don't know. Anybody can make false statement about hisself deliberately if he is in a position to defend his stand.

Don't bring Gujurat's PM case here. He supported Hindu (extremists) group in a tran fighting that cost thousand of lives of Hindus and Muslims some years ago. So US got reason to tell him why he got declined. But, Abhi's case is differnet. What he was told was only "try again", a syndrome of "indifference" to people from helpless/poor country like Nepal in Abhi's words.

Well, we do need people to talk about their experience. Mr. ambassador says there is no indifference. Most applicants feel the opposite and more. So, let the ideas be heard. It can only improve the system.

if other ppl can try again,then he can try again too. no big deal. if they didnt approve the visa app, then they didnt, its their country, they have every right to decide whom to let it or not.

A Nepali intellectual didn’t get US visa— he wrote his experience in a very nice way —the US ambassador PUBLICLY admitted Consular section's mistake.

I am impressed of Prof. Abhi Subedi and proud that we have people like him in the country whose visa denial would force the US ambassador to come out into the public.

karmarana said last time that Moriarty was speaking in diplomatic latin code when he wrote ".....we regret it." karmarana now says Kantipur edited Moriarty's original sentence. What will he say next? Probably that the article wasn't written by Moriarty, it was written by Kantipur editor himself.

Anyway, if Kantipur edited his article and the meaning was distorted, Moriarty would not be silent I guess.

And mansion, there is no question of reapplying here. Prof. Abhi was going there for a program of one week and that program may already be over now.

Sometimes you guys make me laugh a lot. That article was just a copy paste on the website of US Embassy from Kantipur!!!!!

But you still think those in the embassy haven't checked it yet for any unwanted editing?

karmarana, stop talking silly: even if it was just copying and pasting, how come US embassy missed to point out what happened with their original manuscript submitted to Kantipur if some important message was edited/deleted?

and, if you speak out honestly here, you would have already admitted that you were laughing a lot on yourself as you know that you have been arguing for wrong stance you initially happened to choose.

It's a well known fact that Kantipur publications edit the submitted manuscripts and in that process they have made lot of mistakes many mnay times. Otherwise, read that last sentence.. does the syntax make sense? No. And everytime, Kantipur made mistake rarely they are corrected. As for the writers, they cannot do anything. One thing they can do, they refrain from submitting the article to Kantipur.

karmarana the last sentence makes sense to rest of us except you....or do you want to show people you are the only genious one who understands english...

It's the impression that matters perhaps, as Moriarty says. If Abhi reached there with this outlook which made the consular officer believe that this buddy looks insane, or crazy, or perhaps would not return to Nepal after reaching, the officer would surely deny the visa. Whether you like it or not, that's US policy for Nepalese... if you don't like it.. don't go to USA. Why write crazy stuff with bad sh itty mouth.

OK if you think that last sentence is correct, try to explain here grammatically how those three phrases separated by commas connect with each other? If you do not have answer.... surely you will come here back say, but you understood the meaning... US embassy must copy and paste that article there... correction can come any time later.
