1. Only in America......can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance. 2. Only in America......are there handicap parking places in front of a skating rink. 3. Only in America......do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front. 4. Only in America......do people order double cheese burgers, large fries, and a diet Coke. 5. Only in America......do banks leave both doors to the vault open and then chain the pens to the counters. 6. Only in America......do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage. 7. Only in America......do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place. 8. Only in America......do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight. 9. Only in America......do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'. 10. Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering.

only in nepal do people same word twice to emphasize more, for example eat eat (khau khau) no no (nai nai) yes yes (huncha huncha) small small (sano sano) big big (thulo thulo) up up (mathi mathi) and many more. I have actually heard some nepali speak english this way and it sounds hilarious. Any experience guys?

Here are my two favorites: 1. Only in Nepal: you shake your head left-to-right-to-left to say OK. (My teacher used to say: dui tola ko jibro le bolna nasakera, dui dharni ko tauko hallaunchha.) 2. Only in Amrika: students TAKE a test and teacher GIVES test. Haamro Nepal maa ta: bidhyarthee le jaanch dinchha, Guru le jaanch dinchha. (In Nepal: students GIVE a test and teacher TAKES test.) :)

A man is walking hand-in-hand or hands around the other man's shoulder/arm: In Nepal - they are close friends. In Amrika - they are gay lovers.

Kaloketa- the same two nepalese returned Nepal and went to Pashupatinath to pray as they survived the Alaskan Bear, on the way there, at Gausal Chowk they heard two Bengali saying " Bhandar Khal Bhalo Acche" Soon they heard it they both forgot the Pashupatinath and started running towards Bhandar Khal jungle thinking there is no Bear this time. Some people never learn, do they?

Only in Nepal do most kids get excited and watch Goats, Chicken, Ducks, Buffalo being slaughtered during Dashain. They know its offering for GOD and being done for a good reason, so they learn to accept it. Moreover, they get good lunch and dinner out of it for days. I don't think I can watch such thing ever again in my life.
