There is only one way the war might end....if the US gives some land in US for jews-not possilble. So the war is never going to end. The middle easterns firmly believe that Israel was snatched from them and given to Jews. And US wants to keep the Jews rt there for political/religious reasons.
In Bible, it is said that god promised Islrael to jews. And everybody knows how religious Bush is. Thank god...nepal isn't the god's promised land for any other religion..

It was at Clinton's time that something near to peace was possible in the middle east. What he did at that time is written in history. So I guess it needs a wise president from the richest country to reduce the violence.

Nell, The question is how influencial are the terrorist within certain boundry.Hezbollah has same influence in Lebanon as Al-Quida had in Afganistaan.Lebanon will face same fate as Afganistaan becoz it is helpless against those terrorists in their country.

Moreover Hezbollah are not few, they control almost all part of Lebnon. They have their own army, TV Station and representatives in their parliament.

I am sorry for the killings of innocent people but equally sorry for the Israelis aswell who were targeted by Hezbollah and Palestinians all these years.

this would all end if Israel stops being the big bully in that region. Their army goes in and out of Palestine and Lebanon whenever they want. How would Nepali people feel if Indian Army enters Nepal without Nepali govt.'s permission ? Or the Chinese red army ?

At a point when the world order is at the edge of a breaking point, this kind of barbarism from Israel is absolutely unacceptable. This could have been easily solved by a slight bit of diplomatic effort in releasing the hostage. Perhaps exchanging few among thousands of innocent lebanese held hostage by Israel for the soldiers captured seem to have been a perfect and better response. But doesn't this action prove that Israel was waiting for perfect opportunity to launch an offensive, with an excuse of self defence, to pre-emptively attack populated areas of an ancient nation, killing children and women among others, most of whom I am sure had nothing to do with either Israel or Hezbollah, or wouldn't care about both.

This action cannot justify the prerogative of self defense, unfortunately. Israel's relentless act of aggression has muscled all the muslim population together and they will strike back, because they are already in a boiling point with the so called civilized nation bullying and acting as a police state. Murder and mayhem is not an answer to terrorism. You cannot possibly eliminate all your adversaries by bombing. They will multiply and so keep bombing and killing innocents, you will have more to deal with.

Israel should throw aid not bombs on the poor lebanese people. If we want to eliminate terrorism, provide food for the hungry, provide aid for the poor, provide education for illeterate, provide healthcare for sick, provide saniation for unhealhy. Can there be any better way to answer terrorism?
