Well, Good old days seem to be back again!
And I would like to add my own contribution too; But I would like to request if you can be really patient, because I am not really a fluent writer and I do it only when my mood calls me in!! So I am putting this story as sequences!!
Every thursday: new part, That much I can promise!!and yeah it is a repost!!..:)

DISCLAIMER: यो केवल कल्पनामा आधारित कथा हो। यो कथामा उल्लेखित घटना कोहि कसैमा मेल खान गएमा त्यो संयोग मात्र हुनेछ। :)

The lone stars: an unwritten story

She clicked on the sign in button. There was only mail in her mailbox. Nobody had actually written to her in long time. It had been long time since she had talked intimately, or written intimately to anyone. Usually, it would be “just a hi” letter to friends, and she had become fed up of those kinds of mail; then she stopped writing to anyone. She was too busy and there were many other things to keep in track of than old friends. Sometimes, she would call one of friends, sometimes one of them would call, and that would just merely become hi, hello, what you are doing etc. etc.
She clicked on the Inbox sign; there was mail from someone whom she knew intimately, exactly after three years or so (she had lost track of time).
Quickly she clicked on to see the letter. The message began to unfold.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Smriti,
Had been long time, since we had kept in touch, 1364 days to be exact. I am somewhere else now, you must be somewhere, and I had always wished you would be much happier, at least more than me. I am just keeping up with myself.
After I left I didn’t find myself in need of anyone; maybe I had lost faith too, but I was keeping up with myself. It was then I met her, actually she came to meet me. She was charming, caring and knew what was inside me. I saw you in her, and I knew I was not doing right to her, but I loved her company. She loved me; and I was too much lonely then, I loved her back. I know I am not perfect for such a lovely girl, but this time I don’t want to lose love so precious. I am getting married next week.
I know I am kind of selfish to write something like this to you after such a long time, but I needed to talk with someone who knew me entirely; and I couldn’t think anyone else than you.
I hope you are lot happier, and at your best.
Love,
Aakash
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The turmoil began to unfold in her minds, she had still not forgotten him and reminiscences began to run vividly in her minds.
They had been friends for more than 7 years. They had known each other better than he/ she would know himself/herself, they were soul mate. It was him who thought of breaking the friendship and she hadn’t bothered to keep track of him. She was just like that, coolest as usual, and no loss was great loss for her, just life would go on. He had gone his own way and she her own.
She had seen him first in that coffee shop. She had seen him first with her old friend from school. After that she had met him at college.
“Hey we had met before, haven’t we??” he had come to her.
“Aan coffee shop ma Arun sanga bheteko hoina??” She had remembered.
“Yup, Tmi pani yehin padhne ho??” He had continued the conversation.
“Ho!!”
That day they had become friends formally.
Although they were from different faculties, there was some chemistry between them; they clicked as good friends pretty soon.

I would rather say that this story is going to be a series of events where one thing led to another!! The visionary toward the character depends on how u see them!! :D
Said above I would like to thank you all for having such a patience and thanks all for your nice comments!! It is highly appreciated and I will try my best not to disappoint you all in time to come! :)
Here is one for a day!! :)

***************************************
It was already 11 PM. He had switched off his mobile; just to be with himself. He switched it on to inform at home that he will be late; he still wanted to spend some more time there. There were 5 new voice mails and other several SMSes. He read them all, most of them were from Anita; and she was dead worried. He dialed her number; he definitely owed her an apology.
“Hello.” Anita’s voice looked sad.
“Hey, Ma boleko!!” He answered.
“Kahan harayeko? I called your mobile but it was always switched off, I called home more than 10 times; Mom didi are all worried. I called Suresh too, and He said you would be at Swoyambhu, I was about to come there.” He could feel her worries and drops of tears in her voice.
“I am fine!” He said; plain simple explanation.
“Aakash, Is there anything you want to tell me?” She knew him by heart and she knew something was wrong.
“Hoina, aabo jindagi bhari bandhinu aagi yeso eklai ghumiraako ni; tespachhi chance hundaina!” He said jokingly.
“Ho ho, haami ta darlagdo ni aaba!” She acted as if she was angry.
“By the way, bholi bihibar, would you like to go to Bangalamukhi??” She asked him.
“Okies!” He agreed.
“Bihanai aau hai!!” She asked.
“Huss! See you tomorrow.” He wanted to be alone again.
“Love you!”
“I always do! Sweet dreams honey!” And he put the phone down.
He called home to tell he will be late.
Bangalamukhi!! He hadn’t been there in ages. He had been there numerous times when he studied around that area, and he remembered last time when he had been there.
As usual He had bunked his class! He had got bored again sitting on the same cafeteria for umpteenth time and rushed to get nowhere.
He was thinking of getting into the bus, same no 26 and take around all over Kathmandu!! It was quite nice that they show you quarter of Kathmandu in just 3 rupees, student discount; and he loved that!!
Then He saw her in distance; and He walked toward her.
Strange habit He had, He closed her eyes from behind; and she took all the girl's name she can!! He wondered if his hand is really that soft; everyone guess a gal whenever he did that thing! And He decided to let her free:
"Hamilai ta kahan chinthyo!"
He pulled her leg.
"Sanchai tero haat keti jasto chha bhane!!" He watched his hand once again, no it was male's hand!!
"Kahan jana lagya??"
"Boyfriend bhetna!!"
"Oh yeah!!"
"Yeah!!"
"Malai bhetaundainaas ta??"
"Hiid na ta!!"
Obediently He followed to meet her boy friend. He didn't ask the second question as He had left his key to her; wherever she leads me, He had accepted!
They walked to a familiar street!!
It rained, rather drizzled for a moment!!
She looked for her umbrella;
"Let us get wet!!" He said.
She accepted; two of them, drops dripping on their head, shirts and soul, getting lost per drop and silence speaking the words; and He couldn't explain the feeling in words!
They walked through the road: the paved road, the narrow streets, the corners, the temples and reached a destination.
"Ok, we reached!"
They were in front of the Temple: Bangala Mukhi Temple to be exact. He looked around! and He knew what she has done; and they had shared the walk of lifetime: the walk to remember!!
She went toward the vendor outside temple. They had bought two diyas.
And they lighted the diyas in front of the goddess; He didn't know what she had asked for, but He had asked for her happiness forever!!
They had walked some more; and they stayed for some moments in the temple; mundane talks ranging from studies to life, life to dreams and dreams to realities.
They walked toward her home; He left her at that crossway! She found her way; He was still finding his!!
He had returned back to home that day just to find some terrible news.

His thoughts came back to present. And He looked at his watch, it was almost 1; and He returned home.

To be continued!! :)

Thank you all for your nice words!! :)
Flippu: Its Bookmark # 8; Remember the renewed treaty!! :P

Here is the torture for today!!;)

***************************************
She looked at phone. It ranged. But somehow she didn’t want to pick it up. She picked up yet again!
“Hello” She answered coyly.
“Hello” Avinash spoke with a concern from another end. “Alright honey??”
“Yeah” She replied.
“I am going home early today! I will come and pick you up and we can have some nice dinner today! There is this new place open at downtown today!!” He proposed.
“Can we skip that today? I have lots of work here! Maybe this weekend!” the words came out as if she had not spoken a lie!
“Okay then, same old routine!! Haaye re mero life!! See you laters hai ta!” Avinash put down the phone with a sense of humor.
She looked at phone. She remembered her innumerable chit chats on phone with Aakash. She remembered putting the phone on to the stereo with worst songs as she didn’t wanted to talk and all the time Aakash had waited till she was ready to talk again. She remembered the time they had laughed and cried together in the phone. They had a connection even on the phone and she wished to call but again stopped. She was divided within.
The phone has ringed that day.
“Smrittttttiiiiiii!! Tapain ko phone uthaunu ta!!” Her brother had informed her.
“Hello!”
“Yeah Smriti!!” The sadness was hovering over in his voice.
“K bhayo?? Everything all right??” She could feel the silence before a storm.
“My dad has been kidnapped!” She could feel the pain in the voice.
Aakash’s dad used to work as a journalist. He was born to be the investigative journalist, “Believe only what you see, write only what you feel!!” being his motto. He would write critically to both: Be it the Maoist or be it the Royal Army. And he preferred to work in the fields rather than the cubicle which may blind his perspective. The battlegrounds of the further worsening country were his office; and He would travel right onto the spots to get first hand information. His articles got published in national and international journals; and he wrote critically about both without any fear. His life has been threatened many times all anonymously; nobody or at least he never took it seriously. He had once told Aakash, “Son, Never fear when you are truthful, Truth is so strong that it is never hidden! The truth finds its way out however hard you try to hide it!” And truth was what his father believed in. That month He had gone to Bhojpur to cover the news of the clash between Maoists and the police force. And he had gone to from there in a hope to get some interviews of local leaders. He went only never to come back.
“All of sudden??” She asked.
“It had been 10 days since he called, and He had said he will be back after 5 days! We were less worried because this had happened earlier also! But today we got call from his guide. He said He was taken away by some of masked people! They had not told their identity, they took him in gunpoint!” He told her everything on a blink of an eye.
“Have you informed authority??” She asked.
“Mom had re; she got news this morning, she was rushing to everywhere and most people are not much responsive. She has appointment with a minister tomorrow. Maybe something; But I don’t know!”
“Everything will be alright Aakash, don’t worry!” She tried to console.
“I don’t know Smriti, but I sense something really bad; really really bad. Blame me for my sixth sense, and I dread myself from thinking that but I can’t control my thoughts…..” He stopped and become silent.
She could feel the tears and she had no words to tell him anything.
“Come on Akash, you should be strong, who else will take care of your mom and sister if you act like this! Please Akash!!” She said something anyways.
“I know!” He broke the silence.
“Are you going with your mom??” She asked.
“No I won’t! Mom said she will handle things! But I will go crazy here! I can’t think straight!”
“Meet me at café tomorrow morning!! As soon as you wake up give me a call!!” At least she could be together with him diverting his thoughts form miseries, and it was all he needed.
The life was showing its way; which changed their destinations.
She was now CEO of her own company and it had been more than three years since she had heard that voice which she used to hear almost everyday for seven years.

Thanks all!
One for today!!

***************************************
It was crowded Thursday morning at Banglamukhi as usual. The crowd had never changed there; was that the devotion or mere attraction toward the wonderful crowd, one may always wonder! It took Aakash and Anita three hours to reach inside temple. Aakash felt good to be at place and this time he lit the diya with Anita; He promised himself not to hurt someone who had loved him so dearly, he would try his best at least he told himself. The colorful crowd was wonderful, each of them having their own stories to tell he thought and walked along with Anita. Silence was dominating, yet it seemed like they were talking. They stood in front of the pond; Children were jumping in the cold water on that sunny morning.
“Can we take a walk?” Aakash asked.
“Sure!!” Anita was more than happy!!
They walked along the same streets, same paths but this time the characters were different. Aakash felt good to be at same place; memories were there but he was trying to make the new memory which he could treasure even more.
“Are you happy?” Aakash asked.
“More than I can imagine!!” Anita replied.
Aakash smiled and it felt like it was only thing he wanted. He was happy, happy as much as he could possibly be. Anita looked at Aakash; His smiling face looked adorable and she was smiling herself when he asked her.
“Coffee khane??”
“Sure!” She was starved.
The café’s décor had changed. The “you are what you eat” poster with big hamburger eating small one was gone. But the nostalgic taste of coffee was still there. He had ordered some noodles along with the coffee. Just when the food arrived, Aakash saw some familiar face outside. He tried hard to remember when he has seen him. It was same old face he had seen long time ago in Bhojpur. He stood up to catch that man, but when he reached outside he was long gone. He stood there disappointed for he couldn’t find which direction where he would have gone.
His father was lost for more than one month now. None of party has carried responsibility. Tired of rushing here and there, Aakash had decided to go to Bhojpur himself. His 7th semester exam was just around the corner, but his family was more important to him. His mother had not stopped him; she knew how much he loved his father. He had called Smriti before he left.
“Are you really leaving?” She had asked.
“I guess so! I can’t believe anyone now, I will find him I am sure and I will bring him back. I will plead if I need to!! I will kill and die if I need to but I am not coming back without him.” He had said.
“Can I ask you for something?” She was near tears to say good bye.
“Yeah!”
“Stay safe hai!! I will miss you terribly!” He could hear her silent cry.
“I will try to!! Will you smile for me before I leave!!” He had asked for a final favor.
“I can’t, I am afraid. And I can never act in front of you!! I will pray for you everyday!” She had been honest.
He had put down the phone with heavy heart. She had called back just again.
“I will be waiting right here to see you back.” She had said.
He reached Biratnagar Airport late. The domestic flight was delayed as usual. He had earlier been up to Dharan with his father. Now he was alone for his journey. But he was determined; he was fighting for the truth.
He met the guide his father has used for his final trip at Bhanu chowk. They stayed in Dharan for that night. They planned to enter Bhojpur through Leguwa Ghat in Dhankuta. That was easiest approach to the place from where his father was abducted. They made some plans for trip ahead and went to sleep. There was long road ahead of them.

What I really feel deep within when I read this story, is why are two people who keep on thinking about each other not together? I mean if you look at both sides, they are thinking about one another. Heck, they even make excuses to NOT meet their respective fiances because they cant get one another out of their mind. I actually feel bad for the 4 of them!!:(. And as always your writing is splendid!!
