wow Im kinda in shock that this bathroomagukhane has the guts enoough to answer to my commets.......everyone knows that you are a dumbarse trying to acts intelletual........so I will not respond gto you. as for my old buddy ImI...yes the king increased his salary and bought planes from china......now why is that a BAD thing? he is the king and he openly asked for it. Why arent people after those millions of millions of money that the politicians have laundered since god knows when. they cant because its done hidden from people like us so we cant claim or see where its gone. RNAC, hospitals, schools etcetc whose responsible??The king or the ruling government.??where has all the aid money gone???? the kng has always takenhis share of money in public veiw...............what about the Netas???...............the money that the king took is nothing compared to what our country has lost and how much these Netas have laundered................unseen and unclaimed.

Here is another comment from British Envoy on federal system in Nepal:
http://www.kantipuronline.com/kolnews.php?&nid=133770
Federal system not fit for Nepal: British envoy
Kantipur Report
PANCHTHAR, Jan 9 - British ambassador to Nepal Andrew Hall Wednesday said that the people of a developing country like Nepal will be in trouble after restructuring the nation as a federal state.
Federal and local are very interesting things you might want to know. How many percent these "FEDERAL GOVT" will be real federal? If they need 75-80 % of budget solely from Central Govt., the concept of federal govt. is Bul(sh)it. I don't think these "FEDERAL" govts will really be federal or local govt, except the federal states having Birat Nagar, and Birgunj citi area. Can BiratNagar have enough biz to supplement the federal govt? Nope. Idea of federal or local government is just a BS idea, and it is just a ethnic cleansing plan, to avoid certain ethnic people from that area to be in FEDEARL govt. jobs and political positions.
Thats it.

Kathmandu now has 36 hours of load shedding. Hours of load shedding increased just last week to 15 now it has rose to 36. Petrol price increased twice in two months and is almost certain to increase in near future. Despite that there is no proper supply of petrol. India have openly challenged Nepal's Sovereignty by encroaching in Susta. The Indian police even threw away Nepal's flag. Crime in capital have rise alarmingly. Many incidences don't even come in light. Extortion to businessman is highest. Many cases never reported or never published. Welcome to new ganatantrik Nepal.

Maddogg, You cannot justify by saying that if they do wrong it is ok i do the wrong. What is the difference between corrupt King and Corrupt politician? No i do not agree King has right to enjoy when country is going thru such a hard time.It was time to prove to Nepalese that he is king and he feels the pain of the poor nepalese not flying in new planes and increase salary to play poker. We all know SPAM is corrupt but You cannot justify what is wrong is wrong. I personally think even though King could not do anything political he could have just proved he was nice person and cares for the pain and suffering of Nepalese .Nepalese wouldn't been so much against him.He did not only dug his own grave but whole Nepal. You know in politics political stunts matters like Himani going donating money to poor. That was good .Good for royal image .why didn't they do that ?why increase his salary when govt. employees aren't getting raise. What makes that bureaucrats loyal to king?People Loyal to king? Gaynendra is failure but Monarchy shouldn't and Nepal should not in the hands of visionless leaders.

what difference IMI.........................let me tell you the differences............. The king is to stay away form any political involvement that is including donations..Why because the political leaders will veiw this as a political stunt to take over. You are mad because you have read the news and media curropted by these leaders that you hate so much and now you even believe what the political leaders motivated media says............Since last few years Nepal has gotton so much aid money for peace keeping...........whats goin on ImI ???? where has the money gone???? over the last decade world bank announced that Nepal had gotton so much money that Nepal could have easily eleminated these problems we have today......where are those money the political leaders laundered to swiss accounts. So you think that the King should have gone around giving money to the poor and lived like one too. OK how much money did he need to do just that. And how much possible is that in a political scenario. Unlike King Birendra....King Gyanendra went to many many villages to keep the hope alive. Better teach a hungry man to fish that giving him a fish. Buddy You are right in many ways and King should have done more......He was just staying out of the way......being a figure like we all wanted..........He lives like a king.........He loves us.......but wouldnty interfer with the people chosen political leaders......AND when he did Look what happened to him and the state of our country. ImI.......I know that you feel that the King has let you down........I on the other hand think we failed as patriots of Nepal.and our king who has the only right intrest in Nepal. We Failed and now we need some one to blame........so everyone follow the curropt leaders and blame the king...........OH you know why these leaders want him out.......because once the king is lost for ever ......no other will be a threat to these Netas to sell the country and wipe their crime histroy.......................................

Among the enduring mysteries surrounding the collapse of King Gyanendra’s direct rule two years ago is the precise content of Indian emissary Karan Singh’s road map. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh endured much criticism at home – as well as from the opposition alliance agitating against palace rule – by dispatching a former Indian royal related to King Gyanendra to restore the democratic process. Emerging from his talks at the palace, Karan Singh seemed sanguine to reporters. The monarch, he asserted, would speak to the nation soon. The king did, inviting the Seven Party Alliance (SPA) to form an interim government. The rest of the democratic world was ecstatic. But that approach didn’t work with the Nepalese people. After King Gyanendra reinstated the House of Representatives, Karan Singh claimed that the transfer of power to the SPA was precisely in keeping with his initiative. Now we are told that India had engaged in hectic bargaining with the palace during those tumultuous days. “Give us control of your foreign and defense policies and we’ll put an end to the violent street protests,†the trade-off purportedly went. Din Bandhu Aryal, a former Nepali Congress minister turned palace supporter, made the revelation at a public program the other day. Actually, it was hardly a revelation. Every Nepalese ruler since Padma Shamsher Rana has received such a proposal from independent India. What makes Aryal’s disclosure interesting is King Gyanendra’s purported response. “I can’t agree to those terms. Get whatever concessions you want from Girija, Madhav and Prachanda,†Aryal quoted the monarch as saying. “They claim to represent the people and have brought out millions to the street to prove it.†Aryal obviously is not a disinterested communicator here. He was among the most active supporters of King Gyanendra’s takeover of executive powers in October 2002. Before that, he was an assistant minister in Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala’s cabinet in 1991. (Yes, the one he reconstituted after sacking those Ganesh Man Singh and Krishna Prasad Bhattarai loyalists upon returning from his visit to India.) The fact that Koirala had entrusted Aryal with the Ministry of General Administration at a time when the premier was reinvent the bureaucracy in his own image surely meant something. But, then, Aryal wasn’t the only Nepali Congress leader to break with the premier. Aryal’s disclosure – made at a talk program on how the ruling alliance had become pawns of foreign powers – forced Maila Baje to ponder a bit deeper into the Karan Singh mission. Another princely Singh – the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jaswant – had already announced plans to visit Kathmandu. Prime Minister Singh evidently couldn’t let Saffron Brigade subvert the 12-point accord the Reds had helped his government pull off in New Delhi. The prevailing view was that India had dispatched someone who the king would listen to attentively. In retrospect, that seemed true, but perhaps not for the reason we were led to believe. Karan Singh arrived primarily as the former regent of Kashmir. In that capacity, he could most easily sweeten Delhi’s proposal. Six decades after India absorbed Kashmir, people still blame Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel for the massive drain on the nation’s resources. No matter how hard India tries to convince the world that Maharaja Hari Singh – Karan’s father – had signed the instrument of accession, there are woefully few takers. And Karan Singh? Well, he embarked on a political life that far outweighed his stature as heir apparent of a landlocked Himalayan state. And, yes, Kashmir conceded – at least theoretically – only defense and foreign affairs to the Indian Union. Prime Minister Singh’s public persona doesn’t quite permit us to conclude that he is relishing some historical justice here. Many Sikhs, after all, do resent Nepal for keeping Rani Jindan Kaur – Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s widow and political successor who sought asylum here after an abortive uprising – under virtual house arrest, thereby snuffing out the last hope of regaining Punjab’s independence from British rule. Of course, it ceases to matter, in our current political climate, that King Gyanendra’s forebears were hardly freer than Rani Jindan was under the Rana rulers of the time.

Well madddog let it be, let them cry, we can't fight like stray dogs, its theirs job those leaders' chela chapetas, some people might think themselves as macho man going against king. its not the question about justifying as well. We can keep justifying it will go on and on will never stop. Its the matter of selfrespect and respect for others, also about what is right and wrong. We can see we all love our country, we all want it to be developed and prosperous. but on the other hand people have no respect for each other. They are divided and blinded by the 'ism. We talk about country like Switzerland, Japan, England, USA. But also look at their people too, its the people who made it happened. What I see is if we want that too we have to rise above all these 'ism craps, above hatred and prejudice. Nepal is for everybody the king, political leaders, maoists etc..etc.., So respect their values. give respect have respect.
wanna dedicate this song Rato ra Chandra surya by 1974 AD especially to Maddog, and all patriot nepali who rocks!!

thanks ziqkbcnp...............yes we are all Nepalese................we comon people have the power to turn Nepal into the land we dream of.............but it confuses me when I see these so called Netas who are letting Nepal to go down the drains for personal luxury and chair of command..............................they prey on the hopes of Nepalese people who are poor and tired of this situation...................I have failed my country as a patriot......what can I do?????...............these power blinded Netas and the maoists will never let good things happen to Nepal. I am a business man............I have tons of Ideas to take to Nepal............but when I go there........there is a line of maoists............netas.....and leaders asking me bribes ...chanda.....protection money.......liscense money from ten different organizations,,,,....just to be cancelled by another...........where ever I go there is obstacles set up by these Netas and maoists,....................not ONCE by the KINGs people. These people have no clue to what happens when a Nepali tries to bring in business and developement to the country.
