I am starting this thread to know where the TPS application is going and how long is it taking to get approved. If you go to USCIS processing time for nebraska, first of all , TPS is not even in the list (i-821) and second of all the dates are so out of date and updated every 1.5 months or 2. So just creating this thread to get a live tracking based upon others application and approval date. Hope others will help.

My case:
Application received: Dec 11 2015 (TPS only)
Bio metrics date: Jan 12 2016
TPS: Not yet approved

Thank you peiceofshit (sounds strange). They even approved my EAD and started processing my i-131. I only asked for TPs to be approved but they approved everything at once.

Cybro good to hear that your case got approved. I also have appoinment this week with local infopass and lets see what they have to say.

TPS pending le tension diyo. I have applied TPS on December 15 and it is still pending in their case status. My H1B is going to expire on June 15, 2016. I only got less than 2 month. I am planning to apply for EAD tomorrow? Can i just fill up the I-765 form and sent $380 check to apply for EAD?

@wavernepal. Following are the docs I sent:
1. $380.00 personal check payable to US DHS
2. I-765 form
3. Biometric letter copy that has previous case number (LINXXXXXXX)
4. Note stating that my TPS case is still pending and applying for EAD now.
5. G-1145 (e-notification)

Note: My cases are still pending. So I'm not sure if all the above documents are suffice.

I've been following this thread for a while, and had a question about my situation. If you have already discussed this, please guide me towards the response.
I'm currently on my OPT EAD and it will expire around July of 2016. I applied for TPS (with EAD) in the last week of registration, and had my biometrics around the end of January. I haven't heard since from USCIS. From what i read here, it seems like at the very least, people have been getting the EAD a few weeks after the biometrics. If I haven't heard, what avenues can I use to get an update on the status of my EAD?

I would have to leave my current job if i don't get my EAD by July. any help is appreciated. thanks

@untitled 101: I had applied for TPS on august even though I had OPT EAD on last august. Its been 8 months the case is somehow pending. That is my case but things might go around differently in your situation.

I along with few sajha frens whose case been pending havent had luck with it :)

@taremam_bhai : Did you apply for the EAD at the same time as the TPS? I realize that TPS timing is all over the place (even more than 6-7 months in various cases), but I have mostly heard that EAD portion of the TPS comes back fairly quickly after the biometrics appointment. And, as long as I get the EAD I'd be okay in my current job.

@untitled101: Since I already had OPT EAD i didnt applied for TPS EAD however I applied for TPS EAD on February and I should have BIometrics this week I guess.
The thing that confuses me would be even my TPS application could have approved without EAD part since I already had OPT Ead in hand.
IF I start thinking deeply lots of question arises LOL...

@taremam_bhai: I know that you applied for EAD on later date (Feb). Do you still have to do biometrics again or I'm misunderstanding your above statement?

@pieceofshit: Previously I had OPT EAD and now EAD from TPS and yes for the TPS EAD they had completely new case number and biometrics too once again.

@taremam_bhai: I only sent $380 for EAD. We don't have to pay for biometric again? Also, your biometric date is coming next week and you applied EAD on february--isn't that too long of a wait?

@pieceofshit: when I talked to USCIS to expedite my process they told me that I again have to do biometric and they sent me appoinment later based on that. At times I loose my hope since its already been freaking 8 months and the case is still pending.
I also have appoinment with infopass and would go in detail about the case this monday. I would post what they said and share with you guys!

@taremam_bhai: Thanks for the info. I'm surprised they are making you do biometric again. Wondering if that is a standard process or they never got your initial biometric processed on the system which is why it is taking 8+months.

@PieveofShit: I think its a standard process and I have got a good reason for it. Imagine they might want to verify via the biometrics process that if a person has been into any wrong doing! With OPT EAD I dont remember doing biometrics but when I filled up TPS even though I checked on I dont want EAD portion in the form, they made me to biometrics
While on the TPS EAD which I submitted on lets say first week of march, they are again scheduling the process of biometrics just to verify that I have been into wrong doing/action or not. Not sure about that but thats my guess.
