ss47k my perception of london is that it is the most complete city in the world. When i say complete, whatever event that happens in england tend to happen in london or somewhere near london. As i said it earlier there are about 700 live events every single week. I keep coming back to sports. If i have to watch grand slam in US then i have to be in new york. Then when there is gran prix i have to travel to inanapolis. But in england it is different. Everything is in or near the london . Thats why i feel it is a complete city. U will never miss anything. Remember shamdey sherpa did live event in boston i think. and there is no certaintiy that next nepalese live event will happen in boston and not in other city. But in Uk it is always london or near its vicinity.Thats why u will miss nothing. thats what also makes it complete city.In US it is much more distributed, but london has it all.

Ram kumari dont make personal allegation and keep your opinion about me to yourself. I am just calling spade a spade. Do you know ireland was nominated as the country with best quality of life followed by switzerland. If some irish or swiss comes and tell i will easily accept them. If somebody from canadian city vancouver or toronto says there city is better than london i will accept it . But will u change ur opinion.

I find this the most laughable thread I have ever seen in this forum. Have you guys ever though what the Brits and Americans would think if they were to see this discussion?? Nationals of one of the poorest countries in the world arguing over London and NY!!! Give me a break. Saying all that, I do agree with someone who said that whereever you are happy is the best place for you. I am happy in Kathmandu, so Kathmandu is the best place for me. Forget NY and London. I have visited London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow in UK, NY and Miami in US, Frankfurt and Vienna in mainland Europe and Bangkok and Singapore in the far east. In my experience all cities have something to offer (there is something nice about everywhere). However, if I had to put London and NY on a scale, as an outsider I would rate NY 1% higher than London.

Bidhan.. okay you won..bhayo..if you look at the thread you are the one who started saying london is better than ny writing lots of points...and so far i don't think i have said ny won london or blah blah...if you have never been to any cities of USA how can you say that the quality of life is bad....it all depends upon the human's like or dislike,,,some may like ny or some may like london..it is personal.......but it is wrong to say this city won this city....like a kid...i was just giving you the point of ny because you won't shut up always saying you need points to make sure it is better because from the beginning you are saying london is better than any american cities...comcmon grow up...,,,... if you like london keep it too yourself but don't compare...everywhere it is same...the quality of life is same as you mentioned nightlife, transportation, medicince and other things...if you are so sure that ireland is better and other cities is better ...am sure that it must be good just don't compare........

Which sport fanatic wouldnt like this? Where else in the past year could you have seen Ronaldinho scoring for Barcelona, Shane Warne taking wickets , Roger Federer's backhand, Paula Radcliffe pounding the streets, All Black Daniel Carter making all the right decisions, Colin Montgomerie on his way to another European order of merit, the master cueman Ronnie O'Sullivan, and the multiple world darts champion Phil Taylor, ian thorpe and michel phelps swimming qualities and micahel sucmaher within a few hours driving distance? Nowhere else. And londoners take it for granted. The sheer range of professional sport in London is staggering. Football, rugby union, rugby league, boxing, jump racing, flat racing, golf, tennis, athletics, cricket, snooker and darts. Then there is greyhound racing, field hockey, ice hockey, basketball, baseball and softball, American football, speedway, cycling, rowing, swimming, table tennis and squash. And it all takes place in some of the oldest and most atmospheric sporting theatres in the world - Wembley (welcome back - eventually), Twickenham, Wimbledon, Lord's, Epsom, Wentworth But i know you guys dont like sports
