RHINO, MT.EVEREST, LUMBINI, are and were attracting dollars (rupees). Remember I mentioned Nepal went through 10 yrs of Brutal Revolution? Tourism took the biggest hit during this time. Also RHINO, MT.EVEREST, LUMBINI are not commodities like OIL and GOLD and Uranium which can create fortunes for the country's economy in short period of time. In your language(thick headed) it is very hard to convert Nepal to Singapore with very static Resources. Where will the money for infrasctucture come from? in other words how will you build roads and airports when the geography is so brutal and unique. Therefore Geography was and always will be a huge factor. I do not know if can understand it. Or you can just say bahuns did it? whatever "did" maybe.

I agree we cannot built tunneled highways cause Nepal's mountain are young and unstable and we cannnot put railway tracks.

We can fortify the existing infrastructure and build airways though. We can build extra international airstrips in the plains.

Trust me man, I have done quite a deep study in tourism, we can decenlty survive with the revenue but the problem where does the money go?? who monitors the money? i asked this q to a bahun officer and he got offended. think i care, i told what i knew and he got mad. and the result my proposal went down the drain. but i am still trying.

OIL and GOLD exploration is finite exercise. What would u do if these resources are depleted? Plus such exercise harms the environment. This is a quicker way to make money but in the long run - it produces negative impacts. this is called non-sustainable practise.

On the other hand, our landmarks and wildlife will be there to attract dollars. all we have to do conserve and preserve our natural commodities. this is called sustainable ecotourism.

BTW, we have check our population growth big time cause the birth rate stands at 2.43 which is not good.
