a lot of dv winners and asylee gcs think they can join the bandwagon of f1 students and do the same. but it might not be so easy for you. a) they prefer someone on opt, so they can put them on h1 and manipulate them b) they need someone who can write, read and communicate in the office which fob Nepalis lack in comparison to the f1 students. they'll charge you for training but won't place you because you'll be fired in a week and you'll stick up like a sore thumb in the organization.

pshrestha78,
thanks for your input. Even some constructive criticism wld have been helpful but looks like you went way far ahead.Do not be so quick on judging people here....I cld probably teach a whole class regarding language and immigration here but i doubt if that wld b useful. Have you ever heard a word" Career Change?"

P.S. did i mention "free training"?

Dear friend, that was a very constructive criticism for someone from Nepal who started his thread by saying he doesn't need a h1 or green card. do you believe having a green card or not having to go though h1b is a qualification in itself? I wasn't judging anyone at all, you asked for it and you got a response. if you carefully read my reply it's not even directed at you , it says a lot of dv winners and asylee green cards. if you're not one of them then no need to get offended as it does not apply to you. (are you not judging me? ) Also if you can teach a class on language or immigration then why not change your career to a teacher or a lawyer? why take few months of IT training and fake your resume to get a job?

ps: did you mention free training? yes you did , "They saying their training is free..."

If you are committed enough, it should not mind. I took online classes for free. All they need is to sign a contract and you have to abide by it. If you are a PR, its even easier cause they do not need to go through the paper work hassle. I am in the same boat and I am doing fine. In the end, commitment to learning and staying true to your contract should get through it. Do you know what you want to learn btw? If you know, it would be easier.Contact computech careers inc. This is located in NYC. They do offer online classes for JAVA and other programming language. They even have some nepali recruiters there. I hope it helps.

it all depends on the consultancy. some do 40-60, some 70-30, some 80-20. some will pay you a salary and not hourly.

some start you at $25 per hour and other may get you $30 per hour. you get my point here. its all dependent on the agency.
