Technically it's not 'round' so instead of 'round bread' it should be called 'spherical bread' LOL it's more like the dunkin donut munchkins.

@funtush yes technically it does not look round but I am going by the name Gwara which means round and mari means bread. And the cooking method of munchkins and gwaramari are very different and are used different ingredients to make.

@divorceguy, No offense but sounds like you are not a local Newar from Kathmandu and you have never tried this thats why you are calling it a silly breakfast. ani timilai america ko hawa lagisakyo. Gwaramari is an authentic Newari breakfast eaten by many people especially in Kathmandu since years.

@Anup's Kitchen, bro thanks a lot for this recipe, this reminded me of buying gwaramari prepared in the streets by old women in Ason area. Will definitely make it.

newari baucha gwaramari is good but eating more than 2 gwaramari is not healthy, i eat samosa tarkari and sometimes selroti as breakfast but i mix it up. What I am trying to say is that u can't just eat rice dal and tarkari twice a day, its not healthy, try different. we need proteins, carbs, fat included in our meal, not only carbs.
