new to bay area! job @ San Francisco which area El Cerrito, Berkeley, Daly City would be appropriate for living temporarily which is cheap and safe, flexible for taking bart and most Nepalese resides? appreciated your time.

All cities mentioned above are convenient for/to commute SF. Richmond is comparatively cheaper (east bay)

deepocean, if you are in IT then make sure you ask for Remote Work. Coz communiting everyday to SF area is not worth it. Apartment rent is high, Parking is super high if you can even find parking.. Even though you would live in East Bay which is comparatively cheaper, the daily commute is a headache. If you plan to drive a car then good luck passing the Bay Bridge.. Bottom line: SF area is nice, lovely weather and you will love the place, but if you are not given remote work atleast 3 days a week, then leave that job and go somewhere midwest..

thanks guitarcenter well my client is in SF, around pier 39. I have no choice except going there daily. Remote is not possible. i figured that out, parking is expensive. i have to take bart to be @ client side on weekdays. so, i want to stay around cheap, safe place where i can socially connect with Nepalese. If i like i ll stay in SF or else will go back from where I came.
