Yes, Nepali Leaders are Different
By Bahadur

When terrorists hit Delhi or London, all political forces join hands with the Government to fight the terrorism.
When terrorists hit Nepal, all political forces join hands with the Terrorists to fight the Government.

National leaders of other countries fear a thing like a Tsunami.
National leaders of Nepal promise to bring a "Tsunami" after Tihar and intellectuals praise them for it.

Democratic forces of other countries demand elections that the ruling government tries to avoid.
Democratic forces of Nepal try to avoid an election that the ruling government insists on.

National leaders of other countries call upon the people to take part in an election.
National leaders of Nepal call upon people NOT to take part in an election.

Initially, the main issue was, "This government will not hold elections".
Then it became, "This government can not hold elections"
Then it became, "Let us boycott the election"
And, now the main issue is, "The election is not an issue at all, there are other bigger issues and we will find them soon".

It doesn't make sense.

please put your own opinions. don't copy and pase somebodyelse's article.

indeed nepali leaders are different. how about nepali janta? instead of swimming in the river, always standing on the banks of the river and complaining about how other people are swimming.

my bottom line analysis is this (or suggestion):

if you think king is right then join the army and crush the maoist and kick the politicians. army (king) controls majority of the population.

if you think maoist are right join them and destroy the king and his army (which is actually not his since the army are fed by tax payers money). the maoist controls majority of the land directly or indirectly.

if you think political leader are right (somewhat , little bit , a whole lot, whatever) then join them and protest and try to kick the king out bring maoist to talks.

if you do not agree with any of the three then bring your own idealogies for discussion.

if you do not have anything for discussion and you don't have strategies, idealogies but still want to complain then you are more than welcome but it's not going to make any difference

Jai Nepal jai Nepali

When the country is in the midst of a bloody civil war and its institutions of modern governance have been ravaged by the Maosists, the King and to some extent the parties, what more can you expect ? This whole election thing is turning out to be a circus and it is important for all the players (or clowns - depending on how you look at it), to rise above their narrow vested interests for the greater good of the country. Until they do that our politics will remain a circus full of clowns .

True as it is... katti politickx bhanye? Could you not discusss it elsewhere.. it can really grate on one's nerves.Isn't it enough that u get that crap when u switch on the telly? The radio, the papers, mags, parties,pubs... what not@ Shallow as it may sound, i prefer to stick my head in the sand. While the outside world rages about some political situation or the other, let this place be a haven , far away from it all. Where you discuss the finer things in life. Highly idealistic ofcourse:) And no offence to any of you posters here.I am fully aware that you feel strongly .Just a thought ke.

------

Captain Haddock, good to see you again. You by any chance ,Houdini? You sure do the disappearing act pretty well.

Gone with the wind...
