I prefer the term intellectuals rather than politicians, regardless of the credibility of their ideas. How can anyone be a politician sitting behind a computer?

why not possible? Do you know abt the president of East timor, who were at foreign land, and yet contributed alot for independence of his country; that eventually led him to presidency.

Like Iyyad Alawi and Ahmed Chalabi of Iraq or Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan. But they are all puppet governments. Is that the case in East Timor as well? The names you guys have posted above, I dont consider them to be politicians. They have their political views like a lot of us do and they express it. I dont think that makes them politicians does it?

You can call them what ever you want, its your call!! The mass access that was only available via Tundikhel or media is now available through internet. May be there is a new type of politicians emerging out of internet, may be AnilSahis, Nepes and Ashus from the internet will one day be the leaders of Nepal, who can deny that??
