It's not solution to all problems but definitely a step forward. Think about it, America also has problem. Every European countries have problems but the kind and nature of problems are different and more bearable to people.

common...Nepal will never be a republican contry..forget about this julus and stuff....if india, EU, UN, and US hadnt pushed king to give the people rights back to people .....he would never have had given it back.

Foreign ass kissers will remain foreign and royals slave indefinitely. Just trying to be independent is not wrong from any count. ENOUGH SLAVERY HAS BEEN DONE. No more. If majority of Nepalis want Maoists then it might the one what Nepal needs. India and US are not going to solve Nepal's problem. They did what they had in their best interest. Now, Nepalis has to do what they have in their best interest.

I agree with Arko. Republic Nepal will not solve the problems of all Nepalese in a flash, but it will open new opportunities for patriotic, talented, and oppressed minorities.

I simply hate the idea of transferring power from a dead person to his brother, and then to a criminal like Paras. It has to stop now. Prithvi Narayan united Nepal. Many thanks to him but his grand-grandchildren can't enjoy our tax dollars and act like Gods.

Let's realize if republic Nepal fails. If it fails, then we may not be worthy of it. Why bickering anymore?

Sujanks, you lack confidence to see a change in Nepal. Nepal deserves better things like other free countries. Look at the progress made by India in past 50 years of independence. Do you think Indians made a mistake by forming a republic? Do you think Chinese made a mistake by throwing emperors?
