I do not agree completely with you guys'. Nepali comedians like MaHA, Sanrosh Panta are special in their own way. So you mean american comedians are better?? Anyone who is not familiar with language and social style of America will not understand american comedy and say similar things like you. What type of principles are you guys talking about?? so, comedy from what part of world do you like? There are tons of american comedy shows that make fun of clinton and bush and everybody in between. Leno, Letterman, Jon Stewart all make fun of everyday people. I have watched many standup comedians who do make facial "chankhe" like expressions and "monkey" like acting jump ups and you know what all of that is funny and entertaining. I like it and so do many many other people. If you know so much about "Comedy" and 'Comics" how about you do a little tour of the country????????? I don't think we can just generalize comics on the basis of their nationalities. I love many american comics and I just can't stand some. I watched Chris Rock do a standup once and man that guy can swear. Don't get me wrong. I don't mind people swearing but if you hear somebody use the 'F' word more than a dozen times in a minute, it just looses the mojo off the 'F' word. Same with the Nepali comics. I love Maha and Santosh Panta and I know there are few others that I just can't stand.

I like Jon Stewart. He is the best. I also like Stephen Colbert. He is the second best. Leno and Letterman got nothin' on them.

Stand-up comics, though, are different breed. I once watched a video of Robin Williams doing a stand-up routine, boy, he was Hillarious - with capital H, but not like Hillary Clinton :-)

hmmm..comedy ko thread...although it started with a negative remark, its nice to see how many people have strong opinions on their preference (shows that we all care - haina?:) )...i adore comedians, i mean, its hard to make people laugh k (coz most times, people r so damned...and i mean it...so damned reserved or mentally occupied)..jhan MAHA ta - they are simply the best (better than all the rest)...besides, i think they try to take everyday situations, or problems in our society and try to address them..

Another comedy show i love is the Chapelle Show. (anyone here?)..ofcourse Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy do good stand up comedies, but nothing beats dave chappelle (although his jokes are so full of racist comments..)
