Two die after car collides with tractor-trailer

TICONDEROGA, N.Y. Two people are dead following a crash on an Adirondack road yesterday afternoon.
Police in Ticonderoga in Essex County say a car with three occupants was traveling on Route 74 when it collided with a tractor-trailer.

Police say one of the car's passengers was pronounced dead at the accident site. The other two passengers suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont.

One of the passengers died from their injuries last night, while the third passenger remains in critical condition.

The names of the victims haven't been released yet.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
