In my school , I am paying compulsory Student insurance 1200 $ and spouse insurance of about 4000$ . How you guys compare this?

$1000 dollars for 6 months for my car insurance. Beat that!!

Basically Spouse insurance Sucks! Means they don't let me marriage! Life is alone and it agian sucks! Everything sucks!

have you tried shopping for private insurance? $4000 even for a year sounds awafully lot. you'll probably find a decent coverage (esp for a younger person) for at least half as much as the price you are paying right now.

Hukka jee... The main problem is the insurance from school is mandatory and has included to the school's tuition bill. So no way out. Kinda Love it or Leave it. Just wondering what is usual insurance cost in other school for spouses.

I can't change the school but beeter postpone marriage for few years! And it SUCKS!

I don't think that spouse's insurance is mandatory. It is mandatory only for international students; you better consult with international advisors.

In my college spouse insurance is optional and state provide the free primary care (if needed).
The policy is different in different colleges

sucking news. leave the college. I used pay like you but i left that school because one of the reason was the compulsory spouse insurance. Schoo should be in very country sid? am i right?
