When Aisha Salim marries her fiance in Pakistan next March, it will be the wedding of her dreams.

Wearing a veil and gown, she will be every inch the fairytale virgin bride and as befits her strict Muslim religion, after the ceremony, she will hand her blooded wedding-night sheets to her in-laws as proof of her virginity.

But far from being the traditional untouched bride that many Muslim families demand, she is a modern-day university graduate who has smoked, drunk, made love to - and even lived with - a previous English boyfriend.

To disguise the fact that she has had sex, she has paid for painful surgery to "restore" her virginity.

Can't blame her...She just wants to live.  However, the religion and its tradtion are the ones to be blamed as its still in a time warp (Mohammed would find nothing changed in his teachings if he came back from the grave except for the hig-rises, Rolls-Royces and the western lifestyle these hypocrites live today).  And damn, as per the article, the groom's gotta show the bloodied sheets to the mom and sister after the first night?  WTF  I knew honor killings were still a part of their tradition but the bloodied sheets...??  Ain't that a bitch.

I know Muslisms are very strict with the religion and stuff but showing bloodied sheets gotta be shameful to both the parents and the Newlyweds. But I guess it's common in their culture.

Yeah Bhaley...Thanks for calling her and I hope you told her I'm sorry.  I've turned over a new leaf these days.  BTW, those damn Moslem co-ed jails in Bahrain (I was arrested for challenging the ticket-counter person at Gulf-Air to a fight after seeing the ill-treatment of Nepali migrant workers there who had a leash around their necks and were made to crawl around by the Arab zealots)...Yeah, coming back to those co-ed jails there: Those co-ed jails have inspections every morning where they check to see if the newly arrived kalo/khairo and ratopothis have bloodied the sheets or not.  I being the good-looking one there (the other male inmates had teeth-missing, balding and unkempt hair, running noses, glass eyeballs, etc.), there was plenty of action and attention from the pothis for me.  It was like Hotel California...You could check in anytime you like (for the most minor offense), but once inside you never really want to leave!!  They literally had to buy my ticket outta the country and give me a few Gs in travellers-cheques and even sent a belly-dancer to my room for private shows every evening where she finally get me drunk enough on fateful night and I was tricked to board a plane and get da fug outta there.  Damn, next time you go back home, make sure you take the same route I did....There's that of my Mid-East adventures.   LOLz   hahahahahah
