There are four districts in Dhawalagiri: Mustang, Myagdi, Parbat and Baglung.

Mustang - Only one constituency, UML won
Myagdi - Only one constituency, Maoist won (Remember, the fierce attack on base camp of army in this district suffered the largest casualty of Army and Maoist during the war period).
Parbat - 1: NC and Parbat - 2: Maoist
Baglung - 1: UML, Balung - 2: Rastriya Janmorcha, Baglung -3 : NC

Maoists were 4th in Baglung-2 and third in Mustang where they received only 24 votes according to thehimalayantimes.com. What a defeat.

BAGLUNG, April 21 - Although the nation witnessed an all out support for CPN-Maoist in the CA poll,  results of repolling in four polling stations of three constituencies in Baglung on April 17 caught Maoists off guard.

CPN-Maoist, which succeeded in toppling mightiest of contenders from many constituencies across the country, failed in Baglung.

The Maoists had claimed victory over all three constituencies in the district, but unfortunately they were proven wrong on the day the poll results were pronounced.

The voters of Baglung chose Ramji Prasad Sharma of CPN-UML in constituency-1, Chitra Bahadur KC of National People's Front in constituency-2 and Nar Bahadur Pun of Nepali Congress in constituency-3 over CPN-Maoist candidates.

CPN-Maoist had fielded Chandra Bahadur Buda, Dhan Prasad Sapkota and Balwati Sharma in the three constituencies respectively.

Ghanashyam Bhandari, acting chief of Election Commission Regional Resource Center, said, "Ballot boxes determining the winners and losers had already arrived. The results of re-polling in four voting centers did not make much difference to the earlier outcome."

However, Maoist district in charge Parasmani said, "Illegitimate alliance between other parties and lack of voters' education led to such results."

             

While the heavyweights of other parties are badly defeated in other districts, Baglung has maintained its history through CA. Balung-2 sees less influence of Maoists where Chitra Bahadur KC, President of RaJaMo won the election. Unfortunately, C.B. KC is old and after him it will be affected due to the lack of good leaders and intra-party dispute in RaJaMo. Baglung-1 seems to be sensitive, Maoists were second there.

पुनः निर्वाचन भएको क्षेत्रमा माओवादी पछारियो

चैत २८ गते विभिन्न कारणले रोकिएर पुनः मतदान भएका क्षेत्रको मतगणनासमेत सकिसकेको छ। यी पछिल्लो पल्ट मतदान भएका क्षेत्रमा भने माओवादी निकै पछाडि देखियो। माओवादी कमजोर हुनुमा त्यहाँ त्रास र भय विना नै निर्वाचन भएको राजनीतिक पण्डितहरुको विश्लेष छ। बैशाख पहिलो साता पुनः मतदान भएको दैलेख, सुर्खेत १, बाग्लुङलगायत तराईका निर्वाचन क्षेत्रम उसको प्रभाव कम देखिएको छ।   पुन मतदान भएको बाग्लुङका तिनै क्षेत्रमा माओवादी पराजीत भएको छ। यसरी पछिल्लो पटक भएका निर्वाचनमा माओवादीले कुनै किसिमका त्रास फैसाउन नचाहेको र नपाएकोले पनि निर्वाचनमा माओवादीका पक्षमा परिणाम नआएको बताइन्छ।
