Hi guys,

I am Software Engineering Student. Till now, I have completed all the generals and some programming classes like C and C++. I have registered for Java, Assembly, Theoritical Analysis etc for next semester.

Let's come to the point!!

Even though I chose software as my major, I don't know nothing about networking, data management, etc. etc. to work with. I am a good student and succeed to get good grades till now. Even though I am already a junior, I don't know nothing about my career ahead. I don't think getting good grades only helps to find the good jobs later. I don't know either if it is happening to me only or others also. But these things often strike my head. I feel like if I am the only person who is blind about the subject matter and just walking in the dark with no destination.

I am just sharing what I am feeling right now. Please share some ideas so that what I can do to make sure I am in right track. Or, if after taking Java, Data Structure, bla bla, all the ideas come by itself?? Help me people.

u r on right track, dont worry much.if u r good with software side, stick with that, do not worry on knowing much networking and other crap in detail. Coz' when u will apply for job they will hire u to work in one side, and m sure u will choose software development and so on. Do not think you need to be allrounder and know all batting,bowling and fielding to be selected. Just be a good batsman and consider in batting only.

u told u r junior now, no worries, have fun in college and keep getting good grades. After u become senior, lets be little serious and try to find internship in some good software company.
