In a constant effort to make sajha available to a broader audience, and in catering to our viewers from Nepal who have a lower bandwidth, starting today, viewers from Nepal will not see image banners in sajha. The image banners in sajha take up a lot of bandwidth when downloading a page that it takes users possibly 10 times the load time than if the banners were not there.

Hence, I have made the decision and changes to reflect this. We don't want to turn away visitors and views from Nepal because of bandwidth issues. With this change, I hope sajha will be more accessible to users in Nepal. I look forward to more participation from visitors from the motherland.

Best wishes

It's going to look like following:

This is a very plausible effort, San. Appreciate you doing this.

Just a concern. How'd you differentiate Visitors from Nepal? Check on every IP blocks? Or use a GEO-IP locator service available somewhere, which most of the times, isnt upto-date.

As a matter of fact, you can talk to the nPIX people in Nepal to actually mirror the website, for even better performances. Just a thought!

Congrats for the progressive effort though!
