i have a 01 mitsubishi eclipse. My battery was discharged couple days ago and my cd player needs a code to reprogram it. its a P801. after i tried 3 times it went to OFF mode. its a used car and i dunt have a code. anybody have idea what the code is? do i have to go to the mitsubishi dealer.Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks

and also how do i get back to where it says CODE. I heard that i have to run my car for an hour in off mode.is that true?

Go to the dealer, they give you the code for FREE. My friend did that for his Civic's radio, it should be the same for Eclipse.

If you have manual book of your eclips, it might be noted somewhere? Or you can contact the dealer and give the vin number may able to retrieve the code number if the CD is original came with the car ( the original dealer might be able to do provide you) . If not you have to take the radio out and you will find the model # and serial number and give a call to any dealer, may able to give you the code number.
