Does anyone know when is the Apple 3rd Generation Ipod touch gonna be realeased?? Is it just a rumour that it's gonna come out this september or not? Need genuine source!!

September 9th..

Sept 9 is the announcement date even though this announcement date has also not been announced by Apple. But it's guaranteed that they will release a new line of ipods including the mouth watering touch (3rd gen) with a camera, mic, video capture, blue tooth etc. Not sure if it will have a GPS but if it does, that would be mind blowing and this product will sweep the market without doubt.

I might be sounding like an Apple shill right now but I am not.
The thing is I was looking for a PDA plus much more and touch has everything I'd need (with wifi, bt and now camera).

The only competition is the Zune HD which has an OLED screeen and HD radio but I wonder if the HD radio would be much used. the OLED screen is a big plus though but I doubt if Apple would give us that too. If Apple does that, then it's game over for Zune for sure. Can't wait to get my hands on one of those things.

Your premise of finding the exact source is flawed from the beginnning.

Why?
Because Apple doesn't reveal any secrets until the announcement date which will be sep 9th. (the date has been confirmed from various reliable sources with the upper apple management having an empty slot for that day (due to the announcement probably at yerba buena or somewhere nearby in san francisco (my hometown right now))

How do I know this? I have done extensive research on it and a lot of facts to back it up.
Camera is there (all 3rd gen cases of touch come with holes for the camera)
If video is enabled, the mic has to be there.
BT is a standard feature now.
Only thing hanging is a GPS (prolly not there for now) and an OLED screen (that'd be really sweet). A faster processor and a 16 GB for at most $219 is guaranteed. Many sources say it might be $199 and I won't be complaining.

Also, if you are buying the touch, I have done a lot of research at the kind of apps which will make it a super PDA plus much more.

@hotice: Looks like you dont konw how Apple (company) runs. GuitarDaku has essentially summed up an hour worth of research for you. apple usually comes up with new iPods in sept, iPhones on July, MacBooks on June etc. they have product cycles. People usually come up with rumors based on insider news. If you are the kind of person who wants official info. you have to wait for apple to accounce/unveil new iPod.

As predicted by many, they have started handing out invitations for the announcement to be held on Sep 9, 10 am (Pacific time obviously) at Yerba Buena Center, San Francisco.

Too bad I am busy at that time. I would have liked to be there and see what's up.
