My friend is going to be in NYC for 3 days and he needs a place to stay. He is a little tight on budget. Can anyone recommend a cheap place or it can be at anyone's place as long as it is not so expensive.

 Try airbnb.com, you will find prety cheap places to stay .. have used it and found it to be good.
