Has anyone done ELISA assay here?and use Softmax Pro software for data manipulation? What is your criteria for analytical cutoff of te Std. curve?

There are hundred of protocols available, even online. ELISA is pretty straight forward technique. Well, if you have any specific question.......?

ELISA is pretty simple to do dude and like the guy said above thousands of protrocols are found online.

oh god.. u guys! i know there r umpteens of protocol online. But.. i need specific help with the data manipulation. 6 wota entry dekhera katty na wow help! bhaneko ta... kehi na kahi.. sabaile fun matra gare :( well.. i thought u guys r graet at software thing... so i ventured to post my quest here. but thanks nevertheless for responding!:)

Hey "and".... I just want to figure out a criteria to pick up an analytical cutoff value to use my standard curve. that's all. i have been optimizing this test forever... and this is the last step/ i have a fair amount of idea, but i just wanted to try out other ppl's criteria too.. thanks!

Felicity I have used the software for ELISA.However, I have no idea what you are talking about. I used the software just to get the absorbance reading, not to draw the curve. The reason is, I always have my samples in triplicate. Some of the samples falls way off from the rest of the sample. In that case I do not want them to screw up my data. So I just copy the data into excel, throw away the weird points and find mean and standard deviatin using excel. I have seen a lot of people doing the standard curve using the software too, thats also fine as long as the data is not too far from each other. The best way to figure out the trouble is to read the manual that comes with the machine.
