Hey guys, I am sorry if this question has been asked before.

Does any one here know that if you need a Visa to go to Nepal, if you have a foreign Citizenship and Passport. I am 100% pure Nepali, was born in Nepal and grew up in Nepal.

I got confused just today when my father said that I do not need visa to go to Nepal as I am a Nepali by blood, was born and grown in Nepal and I have my parents in Nepal and so on. He told me a story of one Nepali woman living in Australia and she came to Nepal and something something happened, as usual I didn’t listen to his stories which lasts several hours going nowhere. But the conclusion of his story was that I do not need Visa for Nepal.

So Any Info.??

You may need a NRN Visa. Call Nepalese Embassy in DC to inquire further, dude.

you will need VISA, however nothing to worry. You should get VISA in Nepal Airport. I think for first 60 day is free. After that $1 a day, something like that. NOt sure though.

of course you need a visa if you have become citizen of another country.
there's no way you can enter and leave in nepal even if you have parents in nepal without the nepal's visa.

Suyog sir, you definately need a visa to enter Nepal.

According to Nepali Constitution 2047, any Nepali is allowed to hold dual citizenship so, I assume you have given up ur citizenship when you take US citizenship. So, as an American Citizen, you need tp pay the full visa fee which is not free at any Nepali Embassy. The price of visa fee depends upon the Nepali embassy you r dealing with. As far as i Know, its £95 at Nepali embassy here in UK.

u are gonna need a visa but also dont forget to take 2 passport size pics with u. U will need Pics in order to get visa in kathmandu airport. u should be able to get visa in kathmandu airport.

Didn't know that To take US citizenship (then US passport), a nepali has to surrender nepali citizenship. So how to surrender citizenship of Nepal, Suyog? You must have done it. Could you please enlighten us on this matter.

As for Dual Citizenship is allowed in Nepal Constitution 2047, this may not be true. Otherwise, why would company and gang of NRNs like Dr Mahato (flithy rich) are campaigning in Nepal for that????
