Kantipur Report

BANKE, Dec 20 - Maoists Tuesday afternoon looted a recently re-established police post at Dhanauli of Khajura area. They took away everything including nine rounds of ammunition and some cash from the post, police said.

After turning up with two tractors by around 2:00 pm, over 50 Maoists stormed the police post and immediately started to load everything they could find onto the vehicles, according to eyewitnesses.

Fifteen policemen led by Sub-Inspector Satya Narayan Chaudhary were stationed at the post at the time of the incident. However, they did not retaliate against the rebels. The post was re-established on November 25.

The Maoists took the two tractors fully-loaded with their loot toward Bardiya district, DSP Pramod Kumar Kharel said after returning from the incident site. "They took away the goods in looters' fashion," Kharel said. "They took everything except the uniforms that the policemen were wearing at the time."

Local smugglers had also accompanied the Maoists, Kharel claimed. Surya Parajuli and Navin had led the Maoists.

As per directions from the local authorities, the police did not retaliate against the Maoists as that might have had the wrong impact on the recently signed peace agreement, according to DSP Kharel. However, the police are continuing to remain on duty at the post. (http://www.kantipuronline.com/kolnews.php?&nid=94997)

There you have it folks there is the end of law and order in the country Nepal. The way things are going, soon there would be chaos and we will let UN peace troops in our country in context of saving the country from total disastor which of course would comprise mostly Indians.
Lets see what happens.

Also the police cant do anything because then they might be tried in court or fired from the job for messing with the maoists. I believe eventually these police men will say you know what it is better to be a maoist then to have a government job because who is protecting them? No one. The stupid people on government dont give a rats ass about their country and the young people are burning tires, so what is the future you ask of Nepal? Again the answer would be nothing.
