see even i have been working as makeshift gardener, painter(wall,fence),janitor and what not.you can find these works but not easily.things will definitely change as time pass by.

and don't hesitate to work off campus.. find your ways.. apply for off campus work authorization..that helps a lot and it's easliy applied.. and most of the time comes in mail as quick as 6 week( for my cousin here in colorado).. so do something.. make changes...

I found this article very much realistic. All I can say is that I had similar life as the opener of this thread revealed . well I have now Green card and six digit job but still life sucks here.I never feel that I ever belong this country. Just work in week days counting the days for weekend.Just I work for Myliving and enjoy the job too but I don't have any emotionational attachement with these Americans. I don't know why?Just at last I would like to say to the opener of this thread "keep going" .I don't know your expectation and academic level but I am sure you will make lot better life compared to these DV folks.Just it is the matter of time.

This is by far the best thread I’ve come across in Sajha. Khatepate bhai, as most of the people said, that is not unusual. I bet, about 90 % of us went through the same situation at one time. Life isn’t easy in America. But that doesn’t mean you have to give up your dreams. Just keep on working on whatever you came America for and I’m sure you will experience the difference in a near future. I can go on and on about this……… but I hope you got the point.
