I am amazed and frustrated by the ignorance of these telephone companies and their telemarketers. I understand that everyone out there is looking to make money and especially for telemarketers, they probably make money based on the number of customers they bring in but where is the line between courtesy call to inform about the product vs. unwelcome pressure to be one of their customers just because I am from their country or my last name happens to be one of the common last names in their country? I am absolutely sick and tired of getting these calls. If it is once a week I might be able to handle it but it has become ritual, at least two to three calls a day. And the jawbreaker is that same company will call me over and over again when I was absolutely clear that I will never buy their product and they should put me in no call list. How difficult is it to understand when I say “Don’t call here again “? At any rate, I was just curious whether it is only me or anyone else has experienced the same frustration and is there any way besides changing my last name, which is my last resort, that I can avoid these stupid calls?

Can't you sack the firm, or report it to the police. I hear anything is possible in the state. - If the fat lady can sack the fast food chain for their food made her fat. - one women put her cat in a micro oven to dry it, and the cat was fried and died, and she sack the micro oven firm because there was no warning in the manuel saying do not put your cat in the oven to dry it, and she won the case why not you, you may get lucky that you get paid for them waisting your time. Just a thought..........

Well Mr. Gurudev, That's an interesting thought but I am not quite sure about the viability of that option. See as far as I know, these companies go through yellow pages or white pages and type in some common last names, then start calling random people. Even with my caller id and after several unsuccessful conversations with my phone company they don't seem to be able to trace these calls to a particular number. And my phone company further enlightened me with a piece of information that even if they were able to trace a number it will be from some other countries which are out of US Jurisdictions. I can block all the incoming international calls but as most of the immigrants, I have family members back home and they do call me often. So I can't carry on the option of blocking all incoming international call either. All and all it seems that I am out of options.
