folks I would say it depends upon someone's luck to some extent. some people do not have bad experience flying via India. All I wanna say is GL  and God bless you.

Even Indian people do not prefer  to travel via Indian airplanes and do not like the customs in India. I know this b/c I have some Indian friends. The customs is really corrupt and you may have to donate your belongings to the customs officer.
