U are hundred percent safe. If u were doing some job in Nepal, make a letter saying that this person was working here and we are happy do give him (unpaid leave)during his study in USA and will be happy to rejoin him once he returns from USA after completion of study. I had a bank balance of 2 lakhs ready in my pocket (i did not show that) in case they talk abt it. But 3 of my friends (100% sure and dozens of other with assistantship) made through the visa process without a single documnet.

But at least show the property of your home and other lands, vehicles, etc and good past job records in Nepal if any, it helps a lot. It is good to show what you have so that they know your roots are there,
Do not fail to show him how good you are/were in the past, it makes it easier all the way..

Kaili!
Just to be in safe side, I would recommend go to some educational consutancy. they will prepare all the financial docs and trasanction as required for your application. You might have to spend 10-20 k for that, just bargin the rate. You should be fine.
Gud luck!

I think you are safe. Well, it's up to you to make other documents. But
I think they are not necessary. I didn't show a single document other
than acceptance letter from University, I-20, SEVIS receipt, TOEFL, GRE
score reports and transcripts. In fact he didn't even see all of my
transcripts. By the time he reached my transcripts, he just closed the folder and asked me some questions.
Good luck.

I am confused! u r in Nepal or some where else? If u r outside of Nepal, better don't take chance. I know one of my friend who was lingered for more than six months and missed the semester although he had RA. if u r in nepal, kurai siddiyo gathe!

What about relationship certificate? Do I have to make it or not?.
Besides, I had already spend 15 days ( in a conference) in DC, USA in 2005 with B1/B2 visa. . I stayed legally there and returned back after my program was over. I didn't went back to USA though I had a multiple visa. My visa expired in 2006. Will this be plus point for me for my f-1 visa application now?
Thanks a lot ...........

I agree with Himalaya Dai. Yes, they will not care about financial document as long as you have tuition waiver and monthly stipend. Sometimes, they might be just looking for reason to reject. You need to have some fund to support yourself in an emergency.

kaili, it is not required. since your tuition is waived and you have enough fund in the form of assistantship to support your living expenses, you are more than safe. if the fund provided in your I 20, is less than what they have offerred you, then you might need to show some documents. good luck. you will get visa as well, dont worry.

Why don't you go the the USIC or whatever it is called? Sajha does not issue US visas. Each person has thier own circumstances, and each had thier own tricks up their sleeves.
It is a dangerous thing to design your life plan based on someone else's experiences, especially when that experience comes from online ghosts.
I think the visa information leaflet clearly states that the burden is on you to show 'close ties to your native country and compelling reasons to NOT stay in USA after your intended purpose of stay there'.
Good luck
