wass up guys?wats happening wth liverpool fc. the great red half from the merseyside. i dont understand thier transfer strategy. why do they keep signing a bunch of low profile players instead of spending big on a couple of big signings?? like dossena and benayon last season and skrtle and aurelio to name a few. why not sign pleayers like david villa and david silva or van der vaart etc. i cant believe rafa is selling alonso for barry when everyone know that alonso is way better than barry. i dont believe this. rafas making stupid signings and putting pressure on stevie g and El nino to perform on every game which is impossible. if either one of them gets hurt our season is over. so please rafa stop spending cash on crap players and sign a couple of world class players. for example david villa should be signed. either villa, silva or eto'o.
please rafa dont disappoint us once again next season by not winning anything.
comments please.

Dude Just by having big players never win matches...If that was the case, Holland should have won the world cup atleast 3 times..Invest wisely in tit and bits players and Play with a team spirit...Liverpool Won the champions league when there was no Critstiano Ronaldo, zidane and Van nisterlooy in their side...Hope they do well this time around..Premeir Leage title is around the corner for them,..

i know what u're saying. but why sign players on free transfer. he is just signing free players like deggen and aurelio etc. i know liverpool has a good defense. all we need now is a wide player.. someone like quaresma would be great or silva. and sign a badass striker like villa or eto'o. the thing i dont understand is why is rafa signing someone like barry when we have masch who is like 10 times better than barry.. and did he forget alonso who scored like goals from the halfway line. not once but twice. we dont need barry. we need villa and silva or quaresma and eto'o. hopefully the torres factor will make villa conbinced that his future is at anfield.
viva rafa though

Benayoun had a great season with the Hammers before he moved to Anfield. He was a good guy for a club like West Ham. He wasn't that old when he moved. If he could have taken himself just one more level up, he could possibly have been just what Liverpool needed on the right. Too bad, he proved to be just a decent player who can't cut it in the top level. If he could have, everybody would have been saying Rafa's the best and he knows his players. I don't know why you don't like Aurelio and Skertel. Skertel was the best defender in the premiership behind Vidic last season. He only played half the season and he is everybody's favourite at Anfield. I wonder why you think he's not worth for Liverpool. Aurelio was injured the first season at Anfield but last season he came out brilliantly. He played for Valencia under Rafa to win the Euro Cup. He is a good left back. I don't know much about Dossena but I think he is going to be a backup for Aurelio. Degen is a young player. He has a lot of time to improve himself. I am not an out and out Liverpool fan, but I think Rafa is doing good so far. Now that Xabi doesn't seem to be going to Turin, I don't think you guys will get Barry. Instead he will look for somebody who can play out wide, possibly on the left so that you guys can keep playing the same successful 4-5-1 and challenge for the top spot. Only problem is there aren't much quality players to play on the wing on the young and cheap side. PS. Van Der Vaart is linked with Real, which means his value is now up and I don't think Liverpool can compete with what Real wants. Arsavin is linked with Barca and the same thing, Liverpool doesn't have financial power to fight with them. Queresma has been getting a lot of interest from top clubs but he couldn't cut at Barca when he was there so I wonder if Liverpool will want the risk of taking him. David Silva is going to be expensive as hell after his performance in the Euro. I don't think you can afford (and need) Villa if you get a quality wide player. Also another problem with Liverpool is you guys don't have enough money to compete with the big names. Surely the two Americans bought you guys by promising their money, but they spent all their money in building a new staduim instead of building a good championship winning team. Here's to hoing you guys can fight with Chelsea and ManU (and maybe Arsenal and Spur) for the title.

i know aurelio used to play for valencia but we signed him when valencia decided that aurelio was trash and released him on free transfer. and liverpool signed him and decide to make him thier first choice left back instead of Riise? the same Riise who served liverpool for 7 freaking years. and now he's sold just for one mistake hed had. and thats the own goal he scored in the Cl Semis. dosent rafa remember the thunderbolt freekicks he scored numerous times for us? i cant believe it. and talking abt wide players. we could have got simao sabrosa but rafa decided that instead of spending a little higher amount on someone who knocked liverpool out of the cl 2nd round, rafa woul instead save that money and buys benayon. really stupid. aight i know villa and silva would be expensive as shite but at least get someone like aguero. i am still not convinced with rafa's strategy in the market. i wish we had someone like the professor in our team just for making transfers. You'll never walk alone

Aurelio never was trash and never will be trash. He might not be a world class player but he is a good hardworking player. No team in the world has world class players in every department. Even during the galactico era of Real Madird, they didn't have a good defensive unit and paid the price despite playing the most beautiful game of football every played by any team. Its the team work and effort put in that decides who wins. Aurelio can cross good balls. Since you don't have a out and out left sided midfielder, you'll need somebody to put in crosses. That's where Aurelio comes in. Babel likes (and needs) to cut inside to use his right foot, so you need someone like Aurelio to overlap him. Riise was a brilliant player. But some players do need a change after a while. He started his carreer brilliantly with Liverpool but slowly started getting mundane. Best of luck for him with his new team. The way I see Liverpool, you guys need at least one (or two at max) good player to play on the wide side and you have a team set to challenge any team in the world. If Rafa rotates the players in his 4-5-1 and not the tactic itself, I can see you guys finishing really close to the top spot, if not the top spot itself. I am not so convinced about Aguero. He is young and talented but he hasn't proven himself yet. And Atletico will want a hell lot of money. He look really good for the technical game of Spain (or the tactical game of Italy) but not for the physical game of England. Simao Sabrosa is overhyped by the Portuguese. He couldn't make any impact whatsoever during his time at Barca and moved back to his home country. Even with the brilliant players all around him at Atletico, he couldn't do much. He is good enough for decent teams, not but a big team. I'd take Benayoun for cheap any given day than Simao for a lot of money (he will be expensive for sure) and then see him not do any better than Benayoun.

dont know yar. i still think liverpool needs a major change in thier lineup. reina is fine. our defense is pretty tight. midfield is awesome with gerrard and masch. but if hey get injured i dont think we have good cover for them. we still need Xabi Alonso. please dotn sell him rafa. strikers though as i been saying this time and time aain, we need another top class striker. crouch never was a world class player but i agree he did perform when he was given chance.we need either eto'o or villa. i would go with villa to support torres. and talking abt a winger. iwould love to see iniesta come to liverpool but that will never happen. how abt vicente. he isnt happy at valencia. so why not sign him?eveyone knows how good he is and he's a wide player as well. and he's orked under rafa before. vicente to liverpool. how awesome would it be?

Lets take a look at the EPL winners - Manchester United. If somebody gets injured, who do they have to cover it up? Do you think Saha can replace Rooney or Tevez? The old Giggs is still better than Nani and Park. Who do they have as a backup if more than one defenders gets injured? Still they have been winning the title for the last two years. Now let's take a look at the runner up - Chelsea. They have been playing two whole seasons withtout their regular defensive line. Even Cech has been in and out during that time. Last season, not only was their defense out of shape but so was the midfield and attack. Still they gave a run of their life to ManU. The only difference between these two teams and Liverpool is these two teams have a solid set of 11 players if everybody if fit. Liverpool needs to have at least one good wide player to get themselves to that standard. After that, it depends on the mentality and the attitude of the team as a whole (including the subs and the manager and the board and the fans) to win the title.
