The beautiful valley of Kathmandu is turning into Dhoolo-mandu, which is very sad thing to know. Major blame goes on weakness of Common sense of all the Nepalese, especially the officials of government. I think out of 100 cars with green stickers, 20 cars might have passed emission test correctly, rest 80 cars got their green stickers by bribing them. Traffic police who are stationed there at emission test center, treat their facility as their income facility. Once I bought a brand new Mazda 2005 on years 2005, as I am confident to pass the emission test and don't want to pay the bribe, traffic police was pulling down the gas to the fullest to produce more smokes, I passed emission test, as I didn't bribe them, they made me to wait for the green sticker for couple of hrs, while waiting there I saw most vehicles passed emission test, even though we can see the black smokes passing through, so does the under table money that passes through.

These corrupted officials only care of money into their pocket, they don't care polluted air entering into the lungs of their sons and daughters and to all who breathe the same air. The other factor is burning tires in brick factories and burning tires during the protest, people who burns the tire are not aware of the toxic contend in the rubber of tire they burn, which is worse for lung infection. At present due to load shedding, there are thousand of generators running for many hours, this also adds up the pollution in Kathmandu, and than added with demolished homes with unpaved roads. All these are the factors which adds up in polluting Kathmandu valley.

I think nothing will change in Nepal until the polluted mindset of Nepalese politicians and government officials don't change for the goodness of Nepal, and the common sense of public to understand the factors of causing pollutions! They don't know that together their corruption is polluting themselves and their ancestor's land. But think that by getting bit of sin money to pay for their ek,dui peg they have become great.
