Just picked up the recent issue of Kiplinger's Magazine. I was surprised to see some of their picks for 2006. Some of their picks were MSFT, GE, AXP, AET, and ADM.

Now I gotta do some research on them. ANybody wanna help me with fundamentals? What should I look for and where?

Why you recommending commodities? Crude is reaching 2 years low and dow is climbing 12K limit.

When do you think dow will each 13K?

look at my posting that was in MAY, aluminion, corn, titanium, coal was way off the roof. dont come 5 months later and try to make a comment.

i do not think DOW will reach 13k this year. prolly i am a big bear ... but anyway.... if it does i would not mind @ all.

and 10 yr yield is less than 5 year... classical sign for a turn to recession or already @ recession.

housing market going down - dow will go up.

Capital will shift from housing market to stock market. Remember how the housing boom started in 01-02? It stated afte the stock market bust. So, stock market boom after present housing bust will complete the circle.

where I was correct:
1. DOW will not hit 13k by the end of 2006
2. consumer sentiment down

where I was incorrect:
1. stock down in NOV and DEC. both months posted gains
2. recession in the horizon or already in.
3. dow going down.

for the year 2007.
stock pick:
1. QCOM 2. PFE 3. MRK 4. MO 5. T 6. VZ 7. C 8. JPM

full year outlook:
DOW and NASDQ will end in -ve territory although individual stocks will be up.
