Hello fellow Bansthalians,

Those banasthalians living in North America and planning to travel to Dallas for ANA Convention, lets get together from 5-7 pm on Saturday July 2nd. Anjan-cha (1985) is one of the host/organizers in Dallas has reserved a space for us. His telephone number is 972-740-2934 and email anjancha@hotmail.com. Alternatively, you can contact "pokharathok" at prnepal@hotmail.com, or 202-368-6657. Pls come with ideas, how we can make this gathering to something useful to all Banasthalians and others in future.

Cheers !

LOL Bcoffee -- Ring worm re, haaaaaa!!

Count me outta these kinda gatherings if the beers are not served. :D

Seriously, I was there during the 2002 gathering, and I didn't really enjoy it. They call your name, and you go out there, tell them what you have achieved so far. If you have not achieved anything yet, you have nothing to tell them but your name and batch when you passed the SLC. haa.. More like a showoff. Great platform to show others that one is better off than others. Met any new people, well I didn't. I talked to the same familiar faces. So, what's the use of such a gathering. I was hoping I'd meet new people, We'd talk about old days -- insted we were comparing our achievements. ha.

Let's not meet. :)

Bathroomcoffee,

"What you're gonna give him RING WORMS from Balaju ? Heh heh!!!!" HAHAHAHA

What about "Kauso" instead! Once I did that to an irritating classmate, it worked perfectly.

Kalanlisthan Bro,

There will be beers and much more (you will have to pay for 'em though), please come please! we don't want to miss your presence. Let's meet! :)

Kalankistan- i do share your sentiment about the gathering. I know exactly what you mean. However, I invite your suggestion how we could make this better. I believe in alma matters, the thread that connects us from past. Of course it is better when many participate, contribute and share ideas vision and way forward.

Guys,

It was great to see my seniors (the seniormost from batch of 2038 Manandhar Dai, sorry forgot his first name) my batch mate (only two from my batch, one being myself) and a ton of my juniors. We might have some surprises for ya'll (those who missed out) in near future, at least there will be some networking and infomation sharing (if things don't happen blame it on Parashu Dai as he was appointed the coordinator of Vanasthalian's living in the Americas).

Texans were awesome (kudos), near perfect! Hope Yankies will do even better next year!

That was me. It was great to see so many Vanasthali Alumni in same room. I heard later that our Reunion was much better than other school reunions in ANA. Great!!!

Most of the things which we discussed in there seems to be covered by Vanasthali.org.
(I didn't know about that site when attending the reunion).

Maybe we should invite more people to register to vanasthali.org

Best regards,

Binaya Manandhar

I gues I'm too late to participate in these threads..... Lets keep these alive, keep coming.... I remember the days when we used to shoot Lolas from the balcony of Pragya bhawan and hide. One time, we accidentally hit "Kukhura" and wow that was almost the end of life.....
Anyone remebers the days of 2046 Jana-Andolan, without knowing much we were throwing stones at the police and then suddenly army truck came down and en-circled the school. Those tear gases affect reminds me like it was yesterday!
Who remembers the fight with AVM?
Oh, how could any vanasthalians not remember "aas-paas". He caught me one day riding the school bus as I used to use other means of transporation to school and was called in his office by a "Pale" during one of the class. Oh my goodness, I had to make so many stories to get away...! Also, he used to know me by my last name, so whereever he met me, he use to yell at me for no reason.
Good old Vanasthali days, wish I could go back and enjoy those days again.
