first tym posting on sajha, fun!
So, I'm coming to Houston this summer for an internship at Baylor. I'm wondering if someone could provide me some information about public transportation. Also, people say that its really hot and humid. Humid is fine but how hot is it? What kind of clothes should I pack?
Any hints would be helpful.
Thanks a lot.

I live in houston,tx and as far as i know, the public transportation is very very limited. There is a train but i think its limited to certain area only. You need to have your own transportation.

You can look at weather archive at net to have an idea about the weather. You may need some warm clothes too because they tend to make it super cool inside the buildings. Regarding the public transportation, if you stay within one bus line from Baylor, it should be fine (Ofcourse, can't compare with having your car). Better, if you stay in the bus line with frequent schedules. You can get more info on www.ridemetro.org

thanks a lot for the info. I'll be staying in Rice University's housing facility. So, i won't need transportation from dorm to lab.
However, i'll need transportation maybe once or twice in a week which i think metro will be able to provide.
thanks people!
