Hi i always regret in my life about not joining Mavni when i was a student! I was scared of being put on wars in Afghanistan n Iraq! But when i realized college is not worth i wanted to join but it was closed! I thought it will never open n i became out of status! N it was opened! I eventually married a white gal n gig a green card now! But i feel like i am late as all my frens got citizenship before me like around 2015! They traveled ti Nepal already several times! But i am traveling soon after 20 years in America! I feel like i missed out lots of stuff which is time as time will never come back! Now i even feel like give up my green card! So u know regret comes as if i had a citizenship just like mg frens before i might have been different like energetic n wanted to do something in my life! Now i dun feel like doing anything but to live in Nepal as a retired man!

Dont feel bad bro..same happened to me too..when mavni opened I was already in queue for gc so i didnt join. But I'm sure it's not so glamorous as they show their life is in tic toc..I'm sure they have their own sets of what could've been. Hc is not much diff than citizenship anyway..enjoy ur new status..try to be happy ..

I second ehho2 thoughts. Life is like blowing wind, you can be the leaf and let the wind take you where it wants or you can be the kid flying kite with the help of wind and controlling the flight of the kite. Do what makes you happy, even if that is to live in Nepal as a retired man. We all have different circumstances and what you have/take for granted might be somebody else's dreams.

Hey Shekhar, what is your regret about? About not getting your citizenship earlier? Or is it just you had some interest in military but didn't have enough courage to join back then and now you think its too late to join? If its just the citizenship, you are on your way to receive it. If you still have some interest in joining military, US military is very lenient on age limit. Since you are permanent resident already, you can go National Guard or Reserve to just to give it a try. Just sign up for minimum possible years and make sure to pick the right specialty when you sign. You could get your naturalization expedited too potentially if you join military.

My regret is that i wasted too many years in USA! I made lots of money but i wasted 75 percent of it! You can still join National Guard. Maybe it will also provide you the breath of fresh air that you need. Rest of your issues, they don't sound like coming from a very mature person assuming this is not a fake post. Other than that 39 is too old for nothing.
