whats the big deal about taht, if he can take the violence out and can stop this insurgency then whats wrong in him getting the nobel prize for peace.

are u kidding me.this girija moron accepted the peace process otherwise he would have got shot by maoists.maoist came on political platform because they cannot control the whole counrty by violence,rebels always start from violence and end politically.girija and other politicians should give back the bribe they have taken then can be considered.

PM Koirala is oppertuned enough to keep getting the chance to lead the country time after time. Nothing good has come out in his last few tries, but that doesn't mean this time will be a repeat performance.
Call him power-hungry, call him cunning, we needed a strong leadership this time and he provided one. KP Bhattarai might be a better being but Nepal needed a leadership that assimiliated three extremes, the UML, the Maoists and the rest. Mr. Koirala provided that. Guiliani didn't do much, but he was a strong force when America needed one. PM Koirala wasn't instrumental on this peace deal, it was realization by the Maoists that it was about time; but he did guide us to that agreement.
I'd support the nomination, not because he did it all, just because I am happy where it is going.

I do not know how Nobel peace prizes is handed but only if contemporary situations are taken in perspective the Babu Ram and Prachada should also be nominated for the prize.
Forget last 10+ years, let's only talk abt this year. Don't you think the leaders of Moaists aka prachanda deserves one. He put down the weapons for god's sake.
Ditto with beloved girija, he had the chance to become one of the most respected leaders and idol for nepal during the early 90's, i.e. election after jana-andolan. But what did he present himself, yes you know it "Lauda Air." Seems like he went with his guts too, no one knows what will happen tomorrow, je cha ajai kumlyaunu parcha.

Don't be hasty in jumping the bandwagon. Wait for at least a year to see if there is really peace.

I would hate for all you who are supporting girija right now to find out that the situation is even worse after few months. In any case just wait for few month and then let's see how the situations is.

Last i checked nothing in Nepal happened without india's blessing (or i mean "involvement" to be poltically correct) to change the status quo. not sure how girija is getting all the credit??
