Look at all you folks bragging about Honda's and Toyota's. Yeah yeah both are great, good on gas and last long and good re-sell value. But arent we forgetting one thing. We live in this country and we are part of this country and it's culture to some extend. It's upto us to feel or not feel about this beautiful land. If we are staying here and being a part of this superb economy, why dont we think about this land and try to help it one way or the other. By think more about foriegn cars we are thinking about ourselves first. Wouldnt there a point or a time in life when we would be thinking about giving back to the country and it's economy thanking them for what they have done to us? Why not buy a Ford or GM? if you want a economical car why not buy a chevy cobalt? or a chrysler sebring? Yeah they might not have the best Transmission. They might not be good on gas or they might not have the re-sell value. In simple words they might not be as good as foriegn cars. But think this way, If you go to shop tarkari in kalimati would you prefer buying from dhoti or from that very own nepali kancha.. This just an example.. We are brown and we are cheap its in our blood nothing we do about it.. but why not for a second and some point in your life think outside the box for a while?

Last 8 yearz in States, i alwayz had honda and i recommend CIVIC as the best car on the road.....

OF COURSE HONDA....ALL TOYOTA PRIUS WERE ON RECALL BUT HONDA WAS NEVER ON RECALL...THE BIGGEST SELLER IN THE WORLD # 1 GENERAL MOTORS, #2 TOYOTA, WHILE HONDA IS ON #7.....QUALITY IZ WHAT HONDA IS REKNOWNED FOR....I BROUGHT NISSAN FOR MY BROTHER & MAMA....NO PROBLEMZ AT ALL... I WOULD SAY ECONIC CARS # 1-> HONDA, #2 NISSAN

biggest sellers gm and toyota cuz they have so many models
honda at 7 cuz they have fewer models that are very good and i am pretty sure their per unit(model) sale is more than the ones above them in the list

I bought honda civic LX 07 automatic 4 door few months back and just love it so far! I love the interior space and feels very comfortable to drive. I would recommend anyone to test drive any car before jumping into conclusion.
I think you should buy the car that you love the most to drive. I test drove toyota corolla, toyota yaris and honda civic, loved honda civic so went with that!

I know i got 06 EX last year (4 door) but u know what 2 doors are cool but i could not buy 2 door becoz i have to have baby seat for my nephew & 2 doors are not good when u have big family.
I consider i have been married to civic coz i am so much committed to it...i love my civic coz it is alwayz wit me no matter good times ot bad times...
Last not the least, HONDA iz the best economical automobile on the road!!!!!

How bout some european or australian built cars? Most cars built here in america have no style what so ever.. be it honda, toyota, gm, ford or chrylser.. they all suck.. my next car will definitely be an import whether its european, japanese or australian...for me power comes first and design.. i don't care much about gas mileage.. if i dont have enough money for gas, i'll ride the subway.. peace

Yekloyatri, I ate Wai Wai and drank coca-cola ever since I was a kid, and I assume if you grew up in Nepal so did you. If Ford Makes a good truck, I'll buy a Ford. But if they don't, you want to send them a message that they need to improve on something. I think you're hypnotized by all the patriotic commericals on TV. They won't mean a thing if your car dies after 2000 miles. Like someone said before, when you buy a car, look for price, power, looks and reliability and select the best one.

honda is good ... i have been with honda since the day i came here.. and im very much happy.. its been 6 yrs in states...i exchanged a lot of cars betn this period.. but i still drive honda.. and honda is best known for its resale price.. what else do u need guys..
remember 300,000 miles ... that's all we nepalese want....

Shakeen.. yes i do care about the environment that's why i drive only during the weekends or holidays. I take the NYC subway to work and school during the weekdays.. So, don't worry bout me destroying the enivronement... Peace!!

Both Honda and Toyota are very reliable... I own a toyota and get great gas mileage, and its reliable... a honda is also equally reliable and civic has great gas mileage. And the recent models for both companies have been very attractive...
I don't know what in the world the person who was talking about buying a "ford or a gm" was saying. I mean if you like it- by all means please go ahead... but I think its just stupidity to buy a car which you know is not reliable, and will probably break down in just a few years. Like he said "If you go to kalimati would you prefer to buy tarkari from "dhoti" or from a nepali kancha?" His words not mine ppl.
Well to answer that I would simply buy from whoever has the better goods and not let his color or his race make a decision for me..

I agree with sillygirl. I've owned both honda and toyota n both were great for me. I had the honda for 4 yrs and never spent a single penny on anything other than regular maintenance and same thing with toyota. I got a pretty good price when i sold those cars. If I had to choose one between them, I would go for honda.

Tblazing and Loote, I've driven everything from BMW, Hummer, Lexus, Acura, and the list goes on. Some I borrowed from friends, some I rented, some I test drove, but never bought one.

My point is that, you don't have to buy/own a car to enjoy one, you can rent one, and spend no money fixing them especially when you know they are unreliable. Ki kaso??
