Aqua de Gio by Georgio Armani---for those who are into real strong whiff.

Prada for men is a good one too!

ca, so you're saying an unshowered foolio walking around for all to smell his BO is good?  Damn, I'd take a skunk for a pet before I even come close to an unshowered Frencie with BO and bad-breath.

Basic trivia: The Frenchies created the best perfumes/colognes as they were never too keen on the art of bathing/showering.  To mask that smell, they went around finding the strongest smell that could mask the deadliest BO around.  Even the greatest French king, Louie the XIV (the Sun King) took a bath one solitary time in his entire life-time!!

Samsara......I said clean...in capital letters. I was talking fresh out of the shower.

Some guys tend to overdo with the use of cologne....makes me gag. And then there are others who " pour " cologne on themselves to mask their terrible BO.  Cologne or no cologne...the natural smell is what matters....on the condition that it is pleasant.

Hi Guys, so it was supposed to be cologne Ooooooooooops!! God save me. Actually im not so trendy when it comes to perfume oh again........sorry, colgne I jsut pick up something written MAN, in Nepal I used to carry Nivea, here in abroad everytime its different and sometimes with weired smell

Correct me if Im wrong but, so far I was thinking perfume and cologne are same. Good that I learnt here in sajha. Thanks guys and I was also thinking to put COLGNE instead of perfume in title of thread but thought perfume would be better, and yes MAN's PERFUME

Just like whether its RAKSI or BEER or JHOL, ultimately it gives the same excitement. Well well, to be very sincere Ihave heard many times MAN's Perfume here in Europe rather than Cologne.

Just going off track, this guy called Daivd Beckham is so popular, even there is perfume in his name....ooops my head...cologne again

Why not, he is so famous football star,.........typo again..no no he is a soccer star, he is in the U S of A.

-----------------

But what I donot understand is, the reply from this well educated fellow freind of Sajha, hahha it was a good read but hey..whoever posted it, it was funny....and be serious, Im not expecting any response from you

-----

Hey frenchy, don't mess with America or we'll bring democracy to your country  like in Iraq.
We really don't care what you "You're Peeing"-or as you say-European- say?
Perfume for men sounds utterly gay. What do you care? You're filled with gays there.

Used to love Aqua Di Gio; not that I don't do anymore.

I stopped wearing cologne for a while so as to heed a woman's suggestion who preferred my natural odor to any such products.

Curve is a cheap cologne to meet the dress code if there is a requirement to wear cologne.

Hugo Boss brand in general is a pretty prestigious brand that have its products available at top-of-the-line stores. It sure must be great but I have never tested it.

Personally, I love Calvin Klein stuff. They seem to get most of their lines right. I have tried Eternity. 'Thought it was pretty good.

Wearing light cologne is not a bad idea for informal gathering. One thing it shows for sure is that you take care when it comes to carrying yourself just like a friend of mine used to point out on occasions "Even how you smell reveals your true character".

I used to use GUCCI ENVY, ACQUA DI GIO, and EMPORIO ARMANI which are all good. But currently I am using VERSACE MAN EAU FRAICHE and DOLCE & GABBANA LIGHT BLUE and I love both of them.

Samsara, your comment about the french made me remember something my history teacher once told me. She was like when the Europeans came over to America and saw the Indians they were pretty surprised becase the Indians would bathe by the shore every now and then, but the Europeans hardly ever did. They smelled so bad that they would keep a hankerchief or scarf with them and spray perfume on it, whenever they got close to someone else they would wave it a WHOLE lot so that the other person could only smell the perfume. The women would fan themselves so that they dont have to smell the dirty BO of others. She also suggested that couples would almost swoon at each others BO. lol. Made me totally gag, she completely spoilt the medieval times romantic novels for me! But later I discovered that the wealthy, i.e dukes, marquess etc, did bathe but water was a scarce commodity for others!

I could never understand when you can smell someone a mile away. The question would be "Do you smell that bad that you had to pour the whole bottle on your body to HIDE it?" or it would be "You want our attention the easy way, don't you?"
Some people are allergic to those strong smell, esp artificially created. They never think about others. Here's the latest news for women who put on too much perfume. They're usually depressed.

Bob Marley, A very interesting read indeed! I would not necessarily say that some people put too much perfume just because they are depressed, though the theory does make sense. Some might just like smelling really good and I dont think that they are set on irritating others who dont like strong scents or are allergic to it! Its a personal choice-- some people like smelling totally good from a distance and some people dont. And about the article, I think its like saying-- men drink alcohol because they are depressed and use alcohol to enter a stage of oblivion. Might be true but is not always the case. I would not go as far as saying the people who apply a lot of perfume are usually depressed, I would rather say that studies suggest that the people who use a lot of perfume might be depressed. Plus, one study hardly makes a confident theory.
