Does sajha look like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2d/Kathmandu_street.jpg ref: wikimedia/ wikipedia.
It would be more useful too if you can make the site sleek and faster loading. I have pretty good internet speed but this site takes hell of a long time to load.
Have a look at the site design itself as a uploaded picture. Sajha website without adblock plus in firefox. What's going on? why so much ads?
SAN you can do these: Setup a paypal account for donations -to maintain the site Get ride of all the ads, however creating subsections for advertisement. Those who needs to look for the cheaper airlines will go to that section and those looking for flats, apartment will go in that section. VOTE UP if you want a clean and faster site with actual information exchange supported by blogs and postings!! Just a thought.

san bro, instead of getting rid of all the ads, you need to manage them.. i end up never looking at the ads.. if there were fewer of them located strategically, it would be better for everyone.. but a fixed rate per month of putting up the ads might have resulted in this.. i mean this website has loads of content and features already... i guess it's time now that you focus on aesthetics and try design sth that looks better.

Beau, I appreciate your concern but I am not sure if the option of donation supported site will be viable. When there are so many more worthy causes that one can donate to, I am skeptic that people would want to donate to run a website. Perhaps a more viable method would be to make paid accounts where there are no ads yet a section for advertisements. How does this seem to you and how much will you be willing to pay lets say per month for this kind of ad free access? I have not put a lot of thought into it but just want to get some general feedback to see if there is some kind of consensus on this. Your picture of kathmandu street reminds me of my analogy of sajha resembling thamel street in this thread http://sajha.com/sajha/html/openthread.cfm?threadid=67343#664269Best wishes and happy Friday!
