Mahabharat is a religious epic with billions of followers. One of the stories makes me go hmmmmm When Kansa's sister Devaki was married to Vasudev, there was an aakashbaani that said their 8th son would kill Kansa. So Kansa put both Devaki and Vasudev in prison and killed off every child they had. That makes me go hmmmmmmm. Kansa could have put them into two different cells so that there is no chance of having any babies! Another hmmmm for this one. Disclaimer: I'm only thinking of possibilities. Nothing is claimed to be the truth, so save your anger and or hatred to burn the fuel within yourself!

Helping others. Everyone claims to want to help others, it provides them satisfaction and peace at heart. Why is it that 'porn' threads gets 100 times more hits than 'help' threads? I suppose everyone wants to help themselves before they want to help others! Hmmmmmm

It was a rhetorical question which I then went on to answer. It's not really obvious whether Kansa was a dunce or not. I don't believe that he wanted to watch his sister's show. What do I know...

thinker007, you need to think differently. If Kansa has kept them separate, he would have to always live in fear of the child which might be born and will kill him for sure. So, rather than waiting, Kansa kept them together so that they can reproduce and in that way Kansa can get hold of that 8 child. This way he won't have to live in fear of the child for the rest of his life.

if kansa was as evil as depicted by the stories why did he simply not murder his sister? was it his brotherly love because of which he kept her alive? if so the Gods actually are the ones to be blamed for playing a cruel game on kansha and his sister....the other thing is why do they have to tell him that his sister was going to have a child who was going to kill him? for what purpose did they have to announce it??

the whole mahabharrat, ramayan, kansha, krishna whatever is just a myth guys....these are just stories made for the entertainment, for moral values........since there were no other means of entertainment , no written laws back those days,,,,,,,,,,mahabharat and ramayans might actually have happened, but i am sure not exactly as it is written....so every events on the story might not be true even though the story as a whole might be true................thus there is no point in argueing why kansha put them together ?, why he didnt kill them instead ? ..blah..blah...blah....

the way the topic has been reduced to hmmm, i do not wish to elaborate at all on why Devaki had to have her sons to be killed by Kamsa. but a point worth mentioning here is, do not critique it because you watched all 50+ episodes of Mahabharat. read it. those of you who are commenting on it for having watched it on tv or the internet in the form of a movie will have known only a fraction of what is a huge fountain of knowledge that when analyzed through a clear mind will make lot of sense, no matter how mundane and weirdo it reads and sounds!
