Guys, I have couple of situations:
SITUATION 1:
Even though I was in F1 status, I filed my tax last year and got the returns too. This year I didn't got my Form 1098-T from my university. Since, I graduated last may(i'm in opt) I only took 2classes that semester and took 12 credits in fall semester. So, I called the account department and they gave a web site to check my Form 1098-T. I logged in but to my surprise I saw my Form 1098-T for 2008 and 2009 only but not for 2010???? So, I called the account dept again and she told me that 2010 tuition has been adjusted in 2009. Yesto pani huncha???So, this means I've nothing to show for qualified tuition and related expenses???
I work in 2 places:
SITUATION 2:
In one palce I only work less than 20hrs and sometimes more if someone takes off. Owner pays me check and sometimes cash when checks are not available on time.I haven't received my W2 yet.
SITUATION 3:
In other place I work around 50/55hrs normally and sometimes more depending on the situation. Boss deduct tax for $150 only and rest he pays cash.
Now, I would like to know how can I maximize my tax returns depending on these situations. If I show I work at 2 places does it maximize or minimize my return????
P.S.-I also know F1 students shouldn't file federal tax.

Regarding your first question that might be possible. If you registered for credits for only Spring semester of 2010, then probably the university sent you bill during December of 2009. If that is the case then the tuition fee for SS2010 will be in 1098 of 2009, because you were billed in 2009 even though you might have paid it in 2010. If you paid the tuition fee in 2010, you are eligible to show that in your tax return.
Hope that helps

Question: Is this guy is from India or Pakistan? Have you got w-2 from at the end of the year? How your pay is accounted? How much is the gross pay , what is ss , medicare and federal withheld from your pay ?
If you do not get w-2 form , he might be putting that money in his wallet , Most cases if they give you cash nothing is withheld, I may be wrong but that is what these Indian and Paki do.
Hope he is not pocketing your labor?
